I stare at the page in front of me. Vur Horston, huh? A vampire.... I clench the book in my hands, pure anger and fury running through me. This... monster of a man caused the first real fight of my friendship with my friends!
The bell rings, I put the book back, and quickly run to history class.
"Remeber we are learning about World War II." Mr. Dalton says.
In this class I have to sit near Steve, Darren, Tommy, and Alan whether I had a choice or not, there were never any empty spots so I couldn't move, which gave Tommy and Alan the advantage to annoy us more.
But I easily ignored them.
Darren told Tommy and Alan about the show.
"It was so epic! It started with the Wolf-Man and ended with the Snake-Boy. But also-"
I stopped paying attention to their conversation and focused on my work, as hard as that was. I was still steaming from seeming that face again.
After school I sit out front like usual and wait for my parents to pick me up.
Darren, Tommy, and Alan walk up.
"What's wrong with you? We're worried, believe it or not." Alan says.
I pull out my phone and text my mom.
"I am walking home today."
"What's wrong?" Tommy asks.
"Can't say, but I'm sorry for not talking to you earlier, I was angry at my sister, she gave Drago some of my socks so he ate them."
"Oh, makes sense." Alan says.
"Yeah, you do hold a big grudge." Tommy says.
"Yeah, this one is unforgivable." I say.
"Really? They're just some socks." Alan says.
"Oh, I found this cool vampire book in the library want to go check it out?" I ask.
Tommy opened his moth but a honk inturupted him and he got in his car and went home.
"No, I got to get home see ya tomorrow." Alan says walking awaym
"Ok, Darren want to see it?"
"What's it about?"
"Larten Crepsley."
"No, I would like to, but.. What happened Saturday is enough, I don't need to know about Larten Crepsley."
"Ok, well that's OK, let's go then."
"What?"
"I'm walkig home with you, dummy."
He smiles at me and we both walk.
"I found this really cool book about spiders at the public library yesterday."
"Oh really? Let me about it."
"It talked about how people should be scared of small spiders, because even if they seem harmless they could still be carrying deadly poisons or diseases."
"Isn't a black widow spider one of the most deadly spiders?"
"Its definitely the most well-known." He laughs.
"How many children do they have?"
"Hundreds."
"I can't even imagine that!" I shiver. "I can't bare the idea of one child, but hundreds!"
"You're so weird."
There is a moment of silence, "So about what Steve said earlier."
"What part?"
