I wake up, I look around and its all blurry and dark so I can't see it at first, but after awhile I see. I look up, confused I see that the ceiling is only an inch or two from my face, I look down and the that the ground is, well, twenty feet away!
I get scared thinking that I'm and about to fall to my death - but I don't.
I slowly open my eyes - the eyes I closed in fear - and looks around me some more, still terrified. Realizing I am hanging upside down I am slightly relieved, but mostly shaken up.
I look at my wrists and see a black clasp around each one, as well as on my ankles. The clasps were attached to chains which were attached to the ceiling and the floor.
I look around the place and see its a cave, like thing, candles in one part of it, and a coffin in another. I look around some more and see a person also hanging upside down like I am. I squint and realize its Evra!
"Hey." I whisper.
"Ah... You're awake..." I hear come from him, soft, but I heard it.
"Oh you're awake." I hear and look at the opening to the cave and see a man, purple skin, red eyes, and red hair. A vampaneze I assume. Behind him was another man. Pink skin, red eyes, red hair, Ethan. "Good job, Woods, on getting your sister!" The man yells, which I assume is Murlough.
"Ah, I do not care for her. Now that I'm a vampaneze there is no need to feelings to humans."
"Good, you learn fast, Woods. Not surprised since you have such a smart mentor."
"You mean...? Ethan is your assistant...?" I whisper, blood rushing to my head, fast.
Evra doesn't speak, but he does give me a look, a look that says 'you know him?'
"I assumed you would have learned by now." Ethan says grinning. "You are smart after all. You're my little sis."
"Shut up. Why did... you bring me here?" I ask, terror building in me.
"Ethan, cut the boy down, he may die if we leave him like that, we need these two. If we are gonna get Larten Crepsley." Murlough says, ignoring me completely.
Ethan takes Evra down and throws him in the corner. Evra wincing in pain. I notice that Evra is missing patches of his scales, on his arms and legs, and on his neck too, how... terrible.
"Let's test the girl now." Murlough says. He grabs two butcher knives and walks toward me, I close my eyes, prepared for death. I wait, it doesn't come. I open my eyes... and he isn't near me. I then feel a sharp pain in my back, he's behind me!
I know its not the knives, its his nails.
"You're pitiful, sis." Ethan glares down at me. "How strange is it to love the thing - no, the place - that ruined your life?" He asks me, of course rhetorically. "You're a mad woman that needs to be put down, but not after I get that vampire kid."
Murlough sighs, "Now, now, Ethan we're after his mentor not the boy."
"I'm after the boy. He ruined everything for me."
He then goes in front of me and bends down to be near my face. He places his sharp fingernails to my forehead and smirks, "Once the boy is dead, I'll kill you too, sis."

"Its already night, where could she be?" I ask.
"Let's go without her." Mr. Crepsley suggests.
At first I stare at him, slightly angry, but mostly surprised.
