Darren was weird today, Evra and I kept on bothering him about it, but he said he was fine so we eventually dropped it after hours of asking.

"Tux and I met up with Sam and R.V. after the show." Evra says.

"What'd they think?" Darren asks.

"Sam loved it." I say.

"But, R.V. wasn't too fond of it." Evra says.

"Upset about the goat?"

"Yeah but more upset about the snakes, wolves, spider, and Wolf-Man." I say.

"What was wrong with them?" Darren asks.

"He was afraid they weren't being treated properly, being locked up in cages. I told him..." I stopped listening.

I need to pay a lot more attention to people, but that's just do difficult for me. I just want to sleep and eat, but I have to socialize too! Ugh!

"I'm gonna go do my chores, come help when ever, or not at all I don't care." I smile.

Darren looked at me suspiciously. I don't usually do acts of kindness like this, this is the closest to kindness as I can probably get.

"What?" I ask playfully. "I'm trying to be nicer. Is that a problem?"

"No, but why?" Darren asks.

"I feel I need to, I've been a jerk for so long I feel like people are scared of me. I want to change that."

"People are scared of you actually." Evra says.

I playfully glare at him then smile.

"I know I was angry at first... But I'm really happy you're still alive, Darren."

"Really?" He asks smiling proudly.

"Yeah, anyway, I better go." I say walking away to do my chores.

When sunset came by Darren had to go somewhere with Larten, so I just stayed in the van, and texted Steve. I tried to avoid any conversation about the new comers, but he kept trying to steer it in that direction. Eventually I accidentally fell asleep.

In the morning Darren didn't leave the van, probably too sick from not drinking human blood.

We let him sleep or whatever he decided to do for the day, Evra and I did his chores.

The next day Darren came out, just fine and dandy. Evra's snake got sick. So Evra had to stay in the van and take care of her. So I had to do the chores for today, since I let Darren go off with Sam to the train station we were going to go to that one time, when we met R.V.

I had gotten so used to doing the chores it felt like second nature at this point. I wouldn't mind if I had to do all three of our chores everyday. Though I know Mr. Tall wouldn't agree to me doing the chores for the two boys.

I sat in front of the van, tired as all heck. The wolves have been crazy lately, I don't understand why but they are, they've been so hyper since the show. Its strange. Yeah their usually excited when we go on stage, but they aren't ever excited after we get off the stage.

Its strange. Bizarre.

When night came Evra told me and Darren not to sleep in the van since his snake was in a foul mood, I took my snake and we went outside. Darren went to Larten's van and I just sat outside and slept, I liked it better out there anyway. I don't know any other performers very well other than Evra.

The wolves slept on me, it was quite comfortable actually. Being on hard dirt wasn't so fun but the wolves made that fact better.

I heard some yelling from Larten's van but ignored it, probably Darren getting mad about something Larten did.

When it was morning I sat up and looked around a bit. Drago was just slithering around a little in the grass. I looked over and saw Sam and Darren at the camp fire.

Sam walked off a little then slowly turned and went back to Darren. I walked up to them and sat on the ground, like normal.

"What's up?" I ask.

"I want to be in the Cirque, but Mr. Tall won't let me." Sam says.

I give a confused look to Darren, Mr. Tall wouldn't care if Sam joined the Cirque or not, "More the marrier." He'd probably say.

"Maybe I'll just sneak in on one of the vans." Sam suggests.

"You can't do that! No way!" Darren snaps.

"I will if I want, you can't stop me." Sam says.

"Yes, I can."

"How?"

"I never told you what happened to my parents, did I Sam? Or how I came to join the freak show?" Darren asks.

"No I've wondered, but didn't want to ask."

"I killed them Sam."

"What?" Sam's face went pale and then he looked at me. I looked grim, and just looked down, knowing the actually reason why just made me sad.

Darren told him a long, fake story about his parents it went sort of like this..

"I freak out sometimes.. Blah blah blah.. I ripped my parents to shreds, then ate them, one Christmas night... Blahdi blah.. And that's why he shares a van with me and Evra in case he goes crazy we won't get hurt as much."

"But you've known Tux since you guys were kids!" Sam says.

I nod my head and add to the lie, "Yes, and I know first hand how gruesome he can be, so I had to join this place with him... Leave my own family to make sure no one else was hurt."

He stares at us and it looked as if everything clicked for him.

"That's why you are so angry at Darren...."

I nod my head.

Darren then scared Sam Great off forever... Growling to make it seem real.

"How ever did you dream that up?" I ask.

"Shut up." He growls.

"Did Mr. Tall actually say no?"

"No... He said I had to ask Mr. Crepsley. Mr. Creosley said he can join only if he turns into a vampire..."

"That's horrible!" I growl, "I'll go kill him!" I stand up and was about to head towards Marten's van, but Darren grabbed my wrist and stopped me.

Later on came, we were gonna leave tomorrow and do a show tonight. I wonder how Sam was handling Darren's little fib, though he didn't know it was fib.

Darren was strong now, mainly because he's a vampire now, but he isn't in good shape though, he's pale and needs to drink human blood. He is currently talking to Evra so I didn't want to bother the two, I helped the others get ready for the show tonight.

The mistake that I didn't know was that I should have been there with Darren and Evra while they were talking, if I had been, maybe there wouldn't have been a bloodbath.
