Bea's To Do List #4: Apologize to Noah

    "You called for me, Mr. Daniels?"

    "Yes, Bea, I just wanted to tell you that Noah Ramirez quit today during class."

    "He did?"

    "He did. In fact he said it had to do with how badly you've been treating him these past couple of weeks."

    "Oh."

    "Bea, I know you didn't like him but I wish you could think about how your treatment effects this department."

    "What do you mean?"

    "The administration has gotten more and more strict as time goes by and they're not going to like the fact that we no longer have an assistant stage manager."

    "Oh they'll get over that."

    "I don't know if they will. They've been threatening to defund the program for a while now and they're just waiting for be to give them a reason. This could be that reason."

    "Mr. Daniels, I'm so sorry. I didn't realize everything was that bad."

    "I know that and I'm not blaming you for not knowing the consequences. But I do need you to go apologize to Noah and convince him to come back."

    "Can't I just find someone else to take his place?"

    "Is there anyone at school who might be interested?"

    "Um..."

    "That's what I was afraid of. Please just go apologize to him and get him to come back to his job. That way we have nothing to worry about."

    "I guess."

    "Don't worry about the other stuff, that's my problem. He's a reasonable boy, if you just say you're sorry then he'll forgive you."

    "Let's hope so."
