Perfectionist (Chapter 16)

*Mononoke's P.O.V*

"Alright training starts now. First we will begin with a review of chakra the ninja's basic source of power." Kakashi stated the obvious.

"We know that." Sasuke said with a hand on his waist trying to be Mr. Cool again.

"He's right a long time ago we learned about...cat-chra." Naruto said with his finger in the air like he was a genius answering the easiest question ever.

"What the heck is cat-chra? I thought we were talking about CHAkra." I said while making everyone anime fall except Naruto who got a sweatdrop.

"We are Mononoke. Go ahead Sakura." Kakashi said as he let Sakura be Ms. Know-it-all.

I am sorry but she annoys the hell out of me when she does that. Most of the time I can tolerate her even with a her obsessive personality towards Sasuke, but when she does that...I mean she think she is the best but she never fights and she doesn't really do anything useful. Unless you count annoying Sasuke useful, that can be funny.

Ok I buzzed out while she was explain what chakra was since it isn't useful either and I also buzzed out when Kakashi was talking about...well something. I didn't really come out until I heard everyone yell climb a tree.

"That's right, but there is just one rule. NO hands."

"Wow you make it to easy Kakashi."

And with that I jumped to a tree branch that was low enough to get my legs around and I ended up climbing higher and higher while just swinging myself up just using my legs and feet. It is one of the olds things to do for me and it is so easy. When there were no more branches to swing to I jumped down and landed perfectly on my feet between Sasuke and Naruto.

"Well you could go up by monkeying around, but I wanted you to use only your feet and NO jumping Momo."

"Then how are we supposed to do this Kakashi sensei." Sakura said.

"I'll show you."

He put his hands together in a regular hand sign and I didn't even have to listen to know what he wanted us to do anymore. He wanted us to climb using chakra, so we could do chakra control. I know how to do it; I just can't do it when I am in a fight that I might die from.

So I zoned out again, yeah I wasn't listening. I didn't even notice when Kakashi threw kunai at our feet, and I didn't hear the part about trying to climb the tree now. By the time I came back I say the tree Sasuke climbed had a hole in the middle, Naruto didn't even get up and had a bump on his head, and Sakura was as high as Kakashi.

"Well it looks like the ONLY female of the team that tried has the greatest chakra control."

Oh I just gotta know what they are all think right know. This is probably gonna be funny. I made the necessary hand signs to a jutsu I made up that allowed me to read the minds of people within a certain distance.

Naruto was ticked off about Sakura's success even though he was cheering for her. Sasuke said what he was think, "Whatever." And Sakura was sad that Sasuke wasn't impressed.

"Well not only does Sakura understand chakra she can control and maintain it. We spoke about someone becoming an ANBU and another becoming the Hokage. It looks like Sakura has the best chance at that, and as for the great Uchiha clan, maybe there not so great." Kakashi said ticking me off. I'll show him.

"That's enough, you talk to much sensei." And right in the middle of Sakura's little sentence I went jetting up the closest tree to me, and I knew for a fact everyone saw and could see the chakra around my feet.

I reached the top in less then a minute and when there was no more tree to climb I jumped up and landed on top of the tree with my foot right on top of it. To make sure I got my point across I used just one leg to land on top of the tree and had chakra going just around that one leg instead of both my feet.

The tree started to bend down and it bended so much that it went all the way to the ground and the entire tree snapped in 2 when the very tip top of the tree touched the ground and I was perfectly on the ground.

"Well well it seems all the females have the best chakra control."

Naruto started to cheer for me, Sasuke's and Sakura's eyebrow started to twitch, and Kakashi got a sweatdrop. I hate being underestimated and I will never be counted as someone weaker than a girl like Sakura that is obsessed with boys and never does any real work.

By now the scowled I had on my face started to go away and I was smiling widely like Naruto does. Hey I can't stay mad for long, and besides, they know I am good, at least now they do.

Then I was still doing that jutsu I made up that let me read minds, so I could her Kakashi thinking that me, Naruto, and Sasuke had a lot more chakra then Sakura, so we would benefit from this training the most. Dang no wonder Sakura can control chakra well, she doesn't have much to control.

"Alright, first I'll match Sasuke, and then I'll match Momo. Believe it!!!" Naruto said getting really excited.

We ended up doing this for a few hours, and after climbing 8 trees, each taller than the last, climbing to the very tip top and then coming back down, I got really bored and just started to walk up the trees, trying to make chakra control 2nd nature, which still took me up the highest even though I didn't get to the very top like the last time.

Naruto wasn't making that much progress, and Sasuke was only improving a little, Sakura was busy trying to get to the very tip top like I was, but it just wasn't working.

"Hey Momo." I heard a voice behind me and turned to see Naruto standing there while rubbing the back of his head just smiling at me.

"Your good at this right, got any advice."

"Well uh all I can really tell you is you have to try and concentrate on nothing other than the tree. Sorry but that is all I do, after a little while I just go on instinct."

He did an anime fall at what I told him while I just did a sweatdrop, because the only advice I really told him was to concentrate on noting other than the tree. Well I don't want him to mess up so as much as it pained me I had him go ask Sakura for more info. It is either my pride or him, and it would be beyond selfish if I didn't pick him.

Well he did as I instructed and went to Sakura happily, after all it was obvious that Naruto did have a crush on her, even if she is annoying. As he did that I went over to the tree he was working on and it looked like he was only able to get up 7 meters. Poor guy.

It was suddenly quiet; all I could really hear was Naruto and Sakura whispering to each other. I looked around to see Kakashi had left and Sasuke had stop practicing and was...staring at me? Why?

He looked at me for a minute with a pretty much blank expression before he started to blink rapidly and continued with what it was he was doing. What a weird boy, it looked like he wanted to say something but he is so quiet sometimes. Then I swore I saw a small dust of pink on his cheeks and nose as he started to climb again but that is impossible for one simple reason.

I let out a sigh to clear my mind and started to walk back to Tazuna's house. I mean I did master chakra control today and I have nothing else to do, then if I try to make up some jutsus I might waste my chakra for when we really do have a fight. And as for what just happened with Sasuke, he better not think I am going to let that slip, I will bug him to death until he tells me what that was all about.
