Listen and Never Repeat (Chapter 27 1/2)

*Mononoke P.O.V*
"Ok then...NOW." and the moment I said that he charged at me, but I have my own fighting methods. I kept dodging and acting like his swings were forcing me to step back a little, and even pretending to wince when he got inches from hitting me. He never even noticed that I was leading him to a lake that was nearby. When we got near the edge of the lake, he actually noticed and tried to kick me in, but I dodged and back-flipped behind him and punch him in but...backfire, he tripped me in with him with his foot...but then again...hehehehehe.
*Sasuke's P.O.V*
I originally was in the forest trying to finish some last minute training for the exams tomorrow when a ninja attacked me. I was able to take him down easy, and he soon ran off, but I wanted an explanation as to why he attacked me and followed him. When I caught up to him I found the short dark haired Mononoke standing in front of the guy and she had him...pinned to a tree. Figures, she should make capturing people her occupation (we'll mostly thinking that since this is the second time she capture someone so easily).
"Nice try but you really did go to easy now then..." She said as a small smirked went across her lips as she did some hand signs that I haven't seen before. When she finished she said "Cancel" and the ninja was surrounded by smoke and when it cleared there still pinned to a tree was...IRUKA Sensei. I looked at Mononoke and saw she was confused as I was, and then something hit me, when did she learn how to stop the use of other people's jutsu's and how did she even know he was using a jutsu.
"Uh hi Mononoke..."Iruka said with an awkward smile. Then Mononoke unpinned him and they started to talk about what was going on, and Iruka explained that he was testing us like a preliminary exam for the chunnin exam. After that he left, leaving Mononoke, and unknowingly me, in the forest.
"I see you passed." I said impulsively, I didn't mean to say anything, to tell the truth I was going to leave, but it slipped out. She looked up at me with her eyes...her eyes, a golden honey color that is easily classified as amber. I got really focused on her eyes for that one moment for some reason, but not enough to be snapped out of it.
"You little eavesdropper. You know Spiderman is gonna get mad if you keep on coping him." She said with a friendly and awkward smile. Did she notice me looking at her?
"Hn whatever." I said still hanging upside down from tree. It was silent after that and it felt a little awkward for some reason. Then after 5 minutes a kunai was shot at me but I caught it easily, and looked down to see Mononoke had threw it at me.
"Feel like training a little before tomorrow." She asked as she crossed her arms behind her head. I smirked at her again and got down and immediately took a fighting stance. If she is strong enough to stop the use of a jutsu now what else can she do.
"Ok then...NOW." and the moment she said that I charged at her, but the moment I threw a kick at her she dodged, and when I tried to punch her, she just kept on dodging. When I got close to hitting her she winced, but I could never land a hit on her, and she kept on stepping back to dodge.
In less than a few minutes we had moved all the way to a lake and that's when I got the idea to push her in...but it looked like she got the idea first, she did a backflip and tried to punch me in, but I'm not going down like this. I hooked my foot on to her ankle and when I started to fall so did she, but just as I was about to hit the clear water below I saw a smirk play across her lips.
"Ha...I win." She said and my eyes widen by the comment and by the surprise. She front flipped and got her ankle away from me and as I was going down she moved so fast thatshe made herself land on me and she pushed me in by landing on my stomach.
Uh how could I lose to someone...like her, and like this, this isn't how it's gonna be. The way it is, it's like I am being held under the water by her standing on my stomach and I could only vaguely see her threw the water. As far as I could see she looked...bored, uninterested, purely unconcerned or anything, just blank.
A scowl instantly made its way on my face, her expression, it was the first time I have ever seen her like that, and I hated it. Then I just moved without think, wrong move. I did the hand signs necessary for a fireball jutsu and the fire cut through the water and...hit Mononoke, who instantly backed away. I wasn't sure if I hit her or not since I knew she could have pretended to get hit. When I leaned up and sat in the water she was sitting on the rim of the lake...holding her arm, almost her entire arm was red and burnt.
"Damn what the hell, no fair using fireballs in water." She was yelling at me for that but she didn't seem in the least bit concerned for herself, the damn idiot is going to get herself killed in these exams if she does this.
"Uh Sasuke, where are you taking me?"
It’s not like I had much of a choice, I had grabbed her hand and was dragging her out of the forest.
"Where else the hospital, you need to get your arm treated before it gets even more damaged."
Then out of nowhere she started to...laugh. It started with her looking down just laughing quietly until she just fell on the ground just laughing. What is it with her?
"What's so funny?" I asked not looking at her as I started to get mad. Her laugher instantly stopped, and it was silent for a moment.
"Hm it seems the Uchiha doesn't have that good a memory, you don't remember what happened the first day you met me do you."
I whipped my head to look at her with a glare already in my eyes which would usually quiet anyone, well any girl, but when I looked at her, her eyes held something even strong then mine. There was a certain look of coolness in her eyes along with an intense amount of mischief. Then she was lying on her stomach now supporting herself with her burnt arm, which reminded me of a cat almost.
"What are you talking about?" was the only thing I could think to say at the moment. A sigh just escaped her lips as she just looked exasperated at the ground and then stood back up on her feet.
"Just turn around ok." She said as she stuck her finger up and twirled it in a circular motion. I rolled my eyes at her gesture but did it anyway. I heard footsteps walking away a little but stopped not too far away from me. After a few seconds I looked out the corner of my eye to see what was going on, she was standing by the lake with her arm held up in front of her and it had a...white aura, it wasn't all of her, just her arm and nothing else and then I quickly looked away to not get caught. Then I triedto remember something like that, it did seem familiar.
"Alright you can turn around now."
I did just that and her burnt arm was back to normal. My eyes widen a little but what was that, a jutsu?
"You know Sasuke you’re a bad spy."
*Mononoke's P.O.V*
"You knew I was looking at you." He admitted.
"Yeah just like you were watched me out the corner of your eye I was watching you. You shouldn't be surprised at this either. It's not like this is the first time something like this has happened." I said mentally rolling my eyes. I mean for something’s that should be a secret I am pretty bad at keeping it.
"Care to explain what that was?" Sasuke said with a smirk on his lips. Got him.
"I'll tell you but how detailed I am depends on how big a secret you tell me." I said knowing things where gonna be fun. He looked a little pissed and scoffed at me but I didn't care, I was pretty bored so here was something to do.
"Fine, but you can't tell anyone."
"Same here, you tell anyone and I won't hesitate in the least to kill you, even if it means taking a cheap shot at you while you sleep."
"Hn...likewise."
*Time Skip*
We found a place to talk under a shady tree around where we were at. If he was going to tell me something and I was going to go into detail about something like this it is gonna take a while.
Alright then, first do you remember what I said when we first met Kakashi, you know all those goals we have."
"Yeah you said you wanted to kill someone, you emo-ass," I whispered the ending part so he wouldn't hear me.
"and you wanted to restore your clan."
"Right, well do you know about the Uchiha massacre."
"The what?" I said with a sweatdrop. He started to talk again but he never looked at me, not once.
"It was when the entire Uchiah clan was destroyed...except me."
"Oh shit, you’re the ninja Harry Potter. Don't tell me...you have some sorta connection to the guy that killed your family don't you."
I could see Sasuke grinned his teeth a little and I saw an anime vain mark on his forehead but seriously it's too much like Harry Potter, think about it.
"Can you please take this seriously...you watch too much TV and...yeah I do have a connection to the guy." He half yelled the beginning but returned to normal.
"The guy...he was my brother." He said it so quietly that it was almost too hard to understand, but I understood what he was talking about and why he was so mad or upset all the time. My guess he looked up to his brother, I should now what that's like, to have an older brother I mean, you always look up to them, then the guy just went and killed his family, that's sad.
"Wait...if he could kill people older than you and him, way are you still alive, or were you just insanely strong back then." I said only half joking. He smirked at me for once at my little joke; it probably boosted his ego a bit.
"If it was like that he would be the one dead, not my clan. I'm alive because...he said I was so weak that I wasn't worth killing." He said that again and he started grinding his teeth again.
"If it helps I would kill you." I said placing my hand on his shoulder. Ok that came out so wrong, but it was meant to be a compliment. He looked at me like I was insane and the shrugged off my hand.
"I don't need your help." He said but it didn't have a mean monotone like usual. Then he started to look away from me again. Jeez what now?
"You know, have you ever thought why he did it." I said.
"He said to test his strength. Back then the Uchiha clan was considered the strongest clan of them all."
"Ever thought he was lying."
He looked at me, glaring, and I knew what he was thinking, "there was no way that monster was lying" but I only half noticed him doing that. I was in my own mind thinking about it. It really didn't make that much since, no one, no matter how heartless wouldn't, couldn't kill their own family, and hate to admit it but I bet if I asked around, half the people in the village would say Sasuke was pretty strong for his age as a little kid so why wouldn’t he kill Sasuke.
"You know if I were you, I wouldn't kill him. He is your brother, your FAMILY; you would be doing the same as he did if you did." I said thoughtfully and Sasuke looked even madder by that and he was just about to yell again but I quickly covered his mouth with my hands so he would shut up and let me finish, well add to it so he won’t yell, it’s so annoying when he does.
"But I'm NOT you. I can't make you do anything no matter what I do. You’re going to get stronger, and you’re going to go out one day and try to kill him no matter what I say. It's pointless to try and stop you. That's what you and Naruto share in common, your both hardheaded as hell and rarely listen."
He looked slightly taken back by that. Hey when I'm right I KNOW I'm right and this isn't the first time I gave a talk like that so it was pretty good right. Well I pulled my hands off his mouth so he could finally speck and he still looked slightly shocked, mainly because the hyper childish girl he usually knew I was is now acting wise, well wiser, clam, and at least half way understanding.
He actually started to stare at me a little again after that before he quickly moved his head to not look at me again. Wow, to tell the truth he hasn't looked at me that much while we have been specking.
"Whatever, I said what I had to, now it's your turn." He said calmly while he put his elbow on his knees and rested his head on his hand.
"Fine, but keep an open mind, I mean it's a little weird and all. Remember you can't tell and neither can I, penalty is literally death, got it."
I saw a little shiver go up his spine, but I think I over exaggerated a bit and sweatdropped, he nodded either way it went. So here goes.
"Ok well to tell the truth I was always a fast healer, weather I knew it or not, but I never really noticed. Growing up with the only human around me being my brother, I thought the rate I healed was natural. Then it all showed around when I was..."
I started counting on my fingers subconsciously, while I remembered...
"I guess I was around 9 or 10 years old when I noticed."
