The Chunnin Exams, A Strong Salute (Chapter 26)

*Mononoke's P.O.V*

The damn show off, I was having fun and he has to go and mess it up. Damn you log...clucky, I mean Sasuke. He was sitting in a tree acting all cool again, bouncing a rock in his hand. 

"You’re a long way from home and your way out of your league." Sasuke said as he continued to bounce the rock.

Sakura started to cheer, Naruto looked annoyed and the blonde sand ninja girl was blushing. Wow I am the ONLY girl on this planet who doesn't blush or anything at the sight of this guy. All these girls are making me look bad even the little girl was blushing.

"Oh great another wimp to tick me off. What are you supposed to be this girl’s boyfriend?" Said the guy in black as he held his hand Sasuke hit. Well he succeeded with 3 things. He ticked off me, Sasuke, and Sakura.

"No way in hell is king emo duck-ass duo, with the annoying attitude my boyfriend." I half yelled at the guy. I couldn't deny it though, with Sasuke trying to 'protect' me, sorta, like that; it does kinda make it look like he is. Then Sasuke just had to be a show off AGAIN by squishing to dust the rock he had in his hand.

"Get lost." Was the only think he said. Sakura, the little girl, and a little boy with snot coming out of his nose all had a blush and where yelling SO COOL. I rolled my eyes at Sasuke, jeez he’s not that impressive, but then I sensed the presents of someone else, and I completely blanked out trying to locate the person.

"Ya think ya slick hu, get your creepy ass down here NOW." I said point to the branch NEXT to Sasuke. Everyone looked to see some boy using chakra to hang upside down from the branch. The boy that I scoped out had slightly wide eyes at the fact I caught him, but he ignored me and looked to what I thought was his teammate.

"Kankuro back off. You’re an embarrassment to our village." He said in a voice that was as creepy as he looked, the only thing I was liking about this guy was his hair, red hair, awesome.

"Eh uh hey...Gaara." Said the black clothed 'Kankuro' in a little bit of a shaky voice. So that guy was scared of the creepy dude, and NOW I notice something like a big bar wrapped in toilet paper in his hand, yeah I notice things AFTER they happen.

"Have you forgotten the whole reason we came here in the first place." Said 'Gaara' as he hung from the tree.

'Kankuro' started to get scared and tried to pin this little fight on us. Then when he tried to explain 'Gaara' told him to shut up, and then threaten to kill him, who a little overboard, and he said to so calmly that it was creepy...again. 'Kankuro' quickly tried to apologies for this and started to back up, wimp.

"I'm sorry for any trouble he may have caused." 'Gaara' said as he looked to Sasuke then to me. Then for some reason he turned into sand and went to his team. What? His team was about to leave when Sakura just had to butt in by asking why they were here. Jeez even if they weren't allowed to be here what would she do?

"Really you guys don't know what's going on, have you been living under a rock or something. We have permission, of course you are right we are from the village hidden in the sand, our home is the land of wind, and where here for the chunnin exams." Said the blonde girl as she showed as a passport that had her picture and a stamp.

Then they just started to talk about the chunnin exams and I don't really care in the least bit. So I zoned out until Sasuke came out of the tree and yelled IDENTIFY YOURSELF, at the sand genin.

"Who me?" the blonde girl said as she turned to Sasuke, no not another fan.

"No the guy with the gourd on his back." He said as he pointed to the red headed guy.

"My name is Gaara of the desert. I'm curious about you to and that girl behind you, the one with the black hair, so who are you both."

Wait...why me, oh well it can't hurt. I stepped up next to Sasuke to answer so when I finished...I could go ahead and head home since my home is ahead of us.

"My name is Sasuke Uchiha." He said.

"I'm..." Just when I'm about to answer someone sticks there hand on my mouth so I couldn't talk. That dumb hand was connecting to a dumb Uchiha. What does he think he’s doing?

"She's none of your concern." Sasuke said in his monotone and putting enthuses on SHE. Damn jerk what is his problem. To get him off I lick his hand and he pulled away the moment my tongue hit, well that's what he gets.

"You’re lucky your my friend or you would have lost that hand." I said while whiping my mouth so it came out a little more like “Yuu Uhky yuu mh freend ah yaa wouhd hev lst at hnd,” you know, muffled. Sasuke glared at me a little while he whipped his hand on his clothes.

"I'm Mononoke Kiyomizu."

Then Naruto tried to get in by saying "I bet your just dying to know my name." But Gaara completely dissed him when he said I couldn't care less. Small laughs escaped my lips from that but it was kinda mean. After they left though I slipped out of the scene and had to go home for the day.

*Time Skip/Next Day*

Kakashi called as to the bridge...AGAIN, and was late AGAIN. Then when he came he had a lame excuse again. He should just give it a rest and just say he overslept or something.

"I know that this is a bit sudden but I recommended you for the Chunnin exams, all 4 of you." Kakashi said and pulled out 4 papers with ours and his name on it and handed one to each of use.He explained that they were voluntary and that we didn't have to fill out the forms if we didn't want to.

Then he said if we wanted to we had to report to room 301 in 5 days. Then after that Naruto just went on and on saying Chunnin exams over and over. Then we were dismissed again. Well at least I was going to get a good fight out of the chunnin exams.

*Time Skip*

I was busy practicing my water control (no chakra in use) when I was attacked by a fat ninja guy, who was in a cloak and had on a big hat that had a headband on it, with an umbrella on his back, but I wasn't stupid, I sensed there was a jutsu in use before I could even see him and could tell what it was. 

He went on attacking me over and over, keeping only a few meters between us, but he really made this to easy. I dodged easily, everyone one of his attacks, and threw a kunai at a tree.

"Hehe it seems you can't even aim in a close distance." He said as he threw a kick at me. I dodged and jumped high above him using chakra to push up and then BLAM the kunai I threw hit the tree so hard that it shattered and all the shards hit him and pinned him to a tree.

"Nice try but you really did go to easy now then..." I put my hands together in a hand sign and shouted CANCEL. Smoke surrounded him and when it started to clear I saw a point hair in a high ponytail and tan skin with a scar. To my shook Iruka sensei had been the one I was fighting, and beat, still pinned to a tree.

"Uh hi Mononoke..." He said with an awkward smile. I unpinned him and took a seat on the ground next to him for an explanation.Poor sensei, I got him bad, and when he explained that he was testing us genin that where going to be in the chunnin exams, as a preliminary, I felt a little bad to have gone so hard on him, well harder the usual. When he finished, he left to go report what he has seen so far.

"I see you passed." Said a voice from above me, and there hanging upside down was Sasuke Uchiha with his usual smirk on his face.
