Closer and Closer (Chapter 19)

*Mononoke's P.O.V*
Well it is morning now and as we do every morning we are eating breakfast. I noticed that Naruto hadn't come back last night and I also noticed that Sasuke was looking at me funny; if he wants to ask me for help again then he's out of luck.
It didn't help me much that everyone started to talk about how Naruto was outside climbing trees in the dark and that he is probably lying dead somewhere from over exerting his chakra. Even Sasuke agreed by saying Naruto is such a loser and restating what Sakura said.
"Ok I am going to get Naruto." I said and left before anyone could say anything.
Everyone said something about how Naruto was training so I went to the grounds where we have been at but no Naruto. If Naruto really was dead I wasn’t gonna waste my time searching the whole forest the old fashion way.
So I did that jutsu I made that allowed me to hear thoughts within a certain distance, so that if he is thinking I will hear him, and directed some extra chakra to my sensory senses so that I could sense Naruto's chakra quicker.
No time really passed before I found the orange suit ninja and...a girl? The girl was standing up and she had on a long pink kimono and a basket. She also had long pretty black hair like me. I just wish I got to talk to her but she seemed nice.
"You will get strong...very strong, good bye, we will meet again sometime." She said as she started to walk away, but then all of a sudden stopped.
"Oh by the way...I'm a boy."
WHAT then why the hell is he wearing a pink kimono? I did an anime fall and Naruto started to freak out, and I was still doing that jutsu to where I could hear what he was thinking so...
"NO WAY! He's prettier the Sakura and almost as pretty as Momo." He screamed in his head as he just gocked now.
I walked up to Naruto with a sweatdrop as he noticed that I was there now standing next to him.
"Wow I thought for sure he was a girl, how'd da thought."
"I know Momo, I've seen a lot of weird things in my life before but this one takes the cake."
Then bang, Naruto got hit on the head by a fist that had a blue cuff at the wrist and that was connecting to an arm warmer. So there standing right in front of us was the all too well known Sasuke Uchiha in all his usualness.
"Hey twerp did you forget about breakfast, you’re such a loser." He said to Naruto before he turned to me.
"And you forgot to even eat breakfast."
"Well you guys kept on talking about how Naruto was dead; I wanted what happened to him."
"Whatever, come on let's go."
Naruto started to chuckle for some reason and me and Sasuke looked at him like he was a nut case.
*Time Skip*
We followed Naruto's plan and let him show off. Kakashi sensei and Sakura finally came looking for us and when they did Naruto climbed a tree and threw a kunai at them to get their attention. He was lying on his stomach on a branch that was pretty high up and Sakura and Kakashi looked impressed for once.
"Woah Naruto can climb that high now using his chakra...that's great." Sakura said sounding genuinely impressed.
"What do you think high enough for you guys? I mean it's a long way down hu." Naruto said while his voice sounded like he was talking into a microphone because of all the echoes.
He quickly got up and acted like he was about to come down but "slipped" and started to fall. To me, I could see that he swung his foot a little when he "tripped" so I knew he was faking, but I gotta hand it to him, he's a good actor.
He tricked Kakashi sensei and Saukra to think that he was about to fall but he ended up making himself just hang from the branch he was on upside down. Then the not-seen-in-a-while inner Sakura came out and started yelling that she was gonna strangle Naruto for making her worry.
Oh and to clarify, no, seeing Sakura's inner-self and stuff like that isn't a jutsu or anything. It is just regularly how my eyes are. I can see them naturally, and I don't know why, but it does make things more interesting.
Then in all the excitement the little show off lost his concentration...and his grip on the tree, and this was for real. In no time at all our hero for the moment ran up a tree and jumped to the branch Naruto was on, and caught the blond dummy before he smacked into the green ground below. While he himself also dangled upside down on the tree I might add.
"You really are a total loser Naruto." Sasuke said as he dangled Naruto around by the ankle. I am sorry to even admit this but what he just did does make Sasuke look cool for the moment.
With being a fan girl and all Sakura started to cheer that Sasuke was the best and all that stuff, and the stuff about the coolness...it was gone when Sasuke lost his grip on the tree too.
Well dang learn to stay on the tree. So now I played the hero and ran up the tree to save BOTH their butts while doing like the two did before me. I grabbed Sasuke's ankle, he held on to Naruto, and I dangled upside down from the branch.
"Shoot something is wrong with both of you. By the end of the day one of you better have this chakra control thing all figured out or I will mane you both." I said, but I didn't sound serious, but they sorta took it that way, but didn't say anything.
I walked down the tree to the ground before I could lose my grip on the 2 boys that were actually very heavy for me. Then when I walked down I imagined we looked something like a human chain.
*Time Skip*
Well after that little event I and Sakura had to guard Tazuna again and now it was late at night so we were all around the table about to eat dinner. Then the 2 boys where not there yet and they were still out training.
"Now they are both late. Wouldn't have expected that from Sasuke." Sakura said.
I am glad to say after spending a lot of excruciating time body guarding with Sakura her fan girlness is really starting to not bother me anymore. I guess that is a good thing since we will probably have better teamwork now and all that stuff.
Then like right on cue both boys came in leaning on each other for support. Both had the same amount of cuts, bruises, and dirt smudges on their faces, body’s, and clothes from all the training.
"What have you been up to, you look like something the cat dragged in?" Tazuna asked.
"O..M..G you guys did it!!" I sad sounding REALLY girly but it’s too easy to tell I was just playing around.
"That's right Momo we did, we both made it. All the way to the top." Naruto said. Now I wonder, did they actually take me seriously when I said I would mane them this morning or something.
"Good now we move on. Starting tomorrow you are both body guards for Tazuna." Kakashi said to the two.
Naruto started to cheer and that made Sasuke and him fall flat on their butts.
"AH you are such a loser." Sasuke said a little annoyed.
"Did it hurt?"
"Did what hurt Mononoke?"
"Falling."
"No."
"Well then Sasuke we are going to have to fix that."
I got up and pulled them both into a hug...well it was more like me lying on top of both of them while having 1 arm wrapped around one of their shoulders. My weight did actually make their wounds hurt more and everyone started to laugh when the boys started to complain about my hug, even me.
I got up and helped them up but before I took my seat...
"Oh and congrats on finally getting your chakra control down guys." I said it so sincerely that it actually made them feel happy, even though I didn't notice, and both boys started to blush lightly, and for once, Sasuke more than Naruto.
