Forest of Death, Phase 2!!!! (Chapter 33)

*Mononoke's P.O.V*

"Alright heads up maggots, the second part of the exam has begun." The moment Anko shouted that the gates opened and I shot into the forest quickly, trying to find a team with the heaven scroll. Yeah I got stuck with the earth scroll, which in a way is kind of ironic.

I ran about 2 meters into the forest until I got out a summoning scroll. I made them before the exams started and quickly bit my finger, opened the scroll, and wiped the blood on my finger tip on the scroll.

"Kuchiyose no Jutsu." I said holding the scroll in between my fingers as I made a hand sign. I quickly grabbed one end of the scroll and flicked the scroll open, the scroll was surrounded by smoke and when it cleared 28 birds came out and all left except 1 that stayed next to me.

"So quick to summon, you really are hotheaded." It said as it perched itself on a branch. I've known this bird since I was little, but I had no idea that it was a summoning animal too, not until a few months ago. So in short, best timing ever to figure that out.

"Well I only have 5 days to gather some freaky scrolls, and I'm surrounded my ninja trying to kill me. I don't really have time to pick I fight with any random team. I'm gonna go for the weakest links, then start the main event." When I said that I heard a shriek in the woods coming from about a couple of meters away from me. That's one down, please let that team not have a heaven scroll or I'm gonna be so mad, they couldn't wait to get attack until I got there.

I looked over at the bird, Ayumu, and he looked like he was mad at me for bringing him to a war zone, but from the scream I guess he knew why I wasn't procrastinating to find the scroll and that girl.

*Sasuke's P.O.V*

We were now standing a few meters away from the gate, waiting for Naruto. That idiot decided to go to the bathroom now of all times, and then my mind kept on wondering to Mononoke, she's all by herself in this forest that made it almost seem like nighttime. If she gets attack who knows what will happen to her. I was still slightly mad at her though from what what happened earlier but there is nothing I can do about it now.

"Are you worried about Momo too?" I heard, and turned to see it was Sakura. She looked a little worried herself but then.

"Holla emo and prep girl. How’s it go?" Someone came out of nowhere and latched on to Sakura's back in a piggyback position. Sitting on Sakura's back was Mononoke with a big grin on her face as she held herself up.

"Oh and Sakura, don't ask what Sasuke thinks. If you try to get into his thoughts you will never find your way out, it's a dark and messed up place." She said with her smile plastered on her face as she got down on her feet and stood next to Sakura, but something...didn't seem right.

Before we could say anything Naruto came out talking about how he wrote his name with...yeah. Disgusting, but that's who he is. When he walked over closer to us and over to Mononoke, I saw it.

I couldn't wait I had to move, I quickly hit "Naruto" and sent him flying into a tree. Then I grabbed "Mononoke" by her arm and threw her into him.

"Ok where's the real Naruto."

"Better watch out Sakura, I think he's gone crazy." "Naruto" said as he rubbed his cheek, while "Mononoke" sat in his lap rubbing her head. This was getting old real fast, and to add to it when I saw Mononoke and Naruto like that, I knew it wasn't really them, but just something about seeing it, made me have this weird feeling, and in the back of my mind, I categorized it as being mad, but I couldn't see it myself.

"Yeah right then what happened to that scratch on your cheek you got earlier from the examiner." I said ignoring that feeling as I said that direct to "Naruto".

"and I noticed that you have your shuriken holder on your left leg, Naruto's right handed. Plus Mononoke's headband cloth is black not blue like the regular ones, same with her shoes. Also her eyes are amber not orange."

"So you got me, I'm still gonna take your scroll." The Naruto said before he and the Mononoke were in gulfed in smoke. When it cleared, 1 guy was there holding a kunai.

"So which one of you have it." He said as he charged at us.

*Mononoke's P.O.V*

I waited for a good 10 minutes, hid in a tree so no one would try and attack me while I was waiting. When the birds appeared again they had each informed me of what team had which scroll, and at this moment there was a team with a heaven scroll, with only 2 people, 1 had left to attack another team, and I thought I could be dumb.

"Alright, go and keep an eye on the teams, make sure to keep a close eye on my brother, my team, and Haruka's team. No matter what inform me of what is going on with them. Got it, now go." I commanded to the flock as they all nodded and flew off to watch the teams. Now it was time for me to attack.

While they went off I jetted to the team of 2 with the heaven scroll I needed. In less than 5 minutes I found them and was no time in waiting for them to notice me. First round was just me throwing some paper bombs at them, but when I was about to use a jutsu to attack them they...were attack by leaches that feel from the tree. Wow I didn't even get to attack, Hayato was right, the animals got the ninja before we did.

As the leaches got them I walked over and searched them, one had the scroll I needed and then I took off. No I'm not heartless; I had the bird that was with me kill the leaches on them while I got away.Hey if I if I killed the leaches then the team that I took the scroll from might try and steal it back, I can’t have that. I got away soon and when I got near a giant tree, BOOM. Something just had to hit me in the head, and I ended up doing a face plant.

“Uh what the crap!” I yelled as I sat up and rubbed my nose. Trust me if you do it, it will hurt. Then I got smack in the face with…feathers?

“Idiot don’t stop, MOVE!!” Dumb bird. The thing decided to land on my head as I ran and I lost my balance, now it’s telling me to move when it made me fell. What does he want me to do, run on my face, wait…that would me so…COOL. WAIT not the time to go all spazy.

“What’s going on?” I said literally confused.

“Your team you idiot, unless you’re ready to bury bodies you better get to your team now. There against a ninja that will demolish them. NOW MOVE.” He yelled at me and started to take off, and when he said that I don’t really know, I just started to act not really thinking, and ran as fast as my legs would take me to my team.

“I understand that you need to get there quick, but you can’t go that fast, you’re hurting yourself.” Ayumu said, kind of contradicting itself, from behind me as he tried to get to me, but I didn’t stop or respond. My breathing was already starting to get shallow as I ran quicker then I usually do. I wasn’t going to stop no matter what; my team is not going to die, even if I have to.
