A Truly ________ Day (Chapter 24)

*Mononoke's P.O.V*

Lucky for everyone I knew how to do a proper burial...if you could call it lucky. I knew how to make the shrine and the incenses that people use at burials. Since we didn't have much to use for the shrine we just used Zabuza's sword for his and made 2 crosses for both of them.

"Kakashi sensei," Sakura said as she was finishing putting the flowers on the crosses," is that the ninja way to use and be used by people like tools."

She said all that remembering what Zabuza had said a little while before he died. She got up off the ground after that but remained by the shrine. Kakashi and Sasuke were standing in the background while Naruto was standing in the middle.

I was sitting in front of Zabuza's grave "praying", but I was actually putting a protection charm over the graves. There was so much sunlight now that it hid the white aura my hands or body would give off when I did that kind of thing. Again one of the special/regular powers/talents I have that I rarely allow anyone to see. The only reason I am using it now is because I felt like I had to plus I knew I could hid it and plus their conversation is boring as hell so this will keep me out of it.

"Ninja are all tools in the hands of destiny. No point in wondering whether it is right or wrong, it just is. It's the same in the village hidden in the leafs." Kakashi answered her while she walked over to them.

"Well if you ask me if that what being a ninja is all about something is out of whack. I mean is that why we go through all this training to end up like them." Naruto said.

"What is the reason for that?" Sasuke continued.

"Hu well it is a question without an answer and that is something we ninja have to deal with every day of our lives, like Zabuza and the kid." Kakashi answered wisely.

By now I had finished putting the protection charm over Zabuza's grave and was now putting one over Haku's grave. The charms actually last as long as the flowers around the graves which is why I got Sakura to get them. I don't know why but for some reason flowers hold charms and other things like that better.

"OK...I've just come to a decision, for now on I am finding my own ninja way, a way that is straight and true and without any regrets. From now on I am following the way of Naruto."

Ok he just had to break my concentration. I could have sworn he said his name like "NaruDO" but who knows, the dumby. He might have if he can say chakra like CAT-chra.

"Uh Momo are you done praying we need to get back to the village." Kakashi said seeing that I was still on the ground.

I just nodded my head before I got up and followed them away to the village. I don't know how long the charms will hold, since the longs I saw them last was 2 years but who knows I know who knows, I know.

"Hey...what are you thinking about?" I turned my head quickly to see who it was and saw no one other the Sasuke Uchiha walking next to me, and NOW I realize we are trailing behind everyone. Wow I am amazing slow today if I didn’t realize that sooner, and speaking of which why the hell is he with me, awkward.

"Well nothing important really, why?"

"You just seem out of character that's all." Sasuke said while not looking at me.

"Yeah well death makes me depressed and funerals a tiring, so I don't have the energy to be hyped up right now." and at that moment I just HAD to trip over the root of a tree for trees hate me, wow. I am just really dumb today; I need a nape or a reason to not move

"Uh Sasuke I don't have the energy to walk anymore...carry me." I said while I lifted one arm in the air lazily but he just looked at me like I was weird, but aren’t I always weird. Well they make me look normal but ya know.

"Hn loser." and then he attempt to walk off but I grabbed on to his ankles and now he was dragging me around whether he liked it or not.

"Get off."

"Please." I said with anime tears streaming down my face.

We were losing our team by now so he really didn't have a choice. He got down on his knees and let me on his back and he started to run to catch up. I could see the slight sight of pink on the boy’s cheeks again but I paid no mind to it. I mean Naruto blushes too when I hug him and he did the same thing while I clinged to his back this morning. The only difference between him and Naruto is that he actually was holding me closer to him then Naruto did whether he knew it or not, but I didn't really notice, not then at least. Yeah I am amazingly dumb today, call it an off day if you want to or not but we all know the truth, I am mentally retarted.

*Time Skip*

It is time to leave and the whole village came to the newly built bridge to say goodbye to us. For once I was stand between Kakashi and Sasuke and yeah they are pretty quiet. I even started to zone out...again. I had already said goodbye to everyone and cried out my tears of having to leave and a few villagers actually started to cry with me too, they were like old people and children...and a few boys...weirdos.

Then when we were about to go Naruto and Inari started to do the most stupid thing ever. They were both trying to make the other cry about us having to leave but they were both already crying. I just said goodbye and walked away, wouldn’t you, but I was laughing a little. Hey I am the one that makes everything light hearted most of the time remember...I do the weird stuff so...yeah.

"Haha as soon as we get back I am going to get Iruka sensei to fix me up a whole mess of Ramen to celebrate a mission accomplished. Oh and just wait until I tell Konahamaru about all my adventures, the kid is going to worship me." Naruto said halfway down the bridge.

"Hey?" Sakura said.

"Yeah." Naruto answered but she wasn't talking to him.

"Not you Naruto. Sasuke when we get back you wanna go out and do something together?" Sakura asked him out with hope in her eyes. Ok isn’t that the 26th time she asked him out.

"I don't think so thanks." Sasuke answered, but at least it was a nicer answer then what he would usually give her.Seriously, I think he should just date one of these girls and get it over with. If he never dates a girl I am seriously going to start thinking he is gay.After that Naruto attempted to ask Sakura out but she yelled at him saying that her talking to Sasuke was a private conversation even though everyone could hear.

"So Mononoke do you have any plans when we get back?" Kakashi said sensing my quietness at the moment and plus he was bored.

"Uh well...make some prank calls and...Blow something up...I think I'll make a cookie explode." I said just thinking of some random things that I more than likely will do for no reason.

Everyone started to watch Naruto and Sakura fight...sorta for a while, but I eventually got bored and started to walk ahead of everyone...but not for long. Someone had grabbed my ankle and I was dangling upside down looking at the emo Uchiha holding me in the air as we walked.

"You’re walking with us Kiyomizu, you’re not going anywhere." He said still holding me up. I just stuck my tongue out at him but agreed before he dropped me on my head, jerk.

I kicked him in his head for that but he didn't say anything about it as I walked next to him and Kakashi. Why the hell does he even want me here anyway? Weird emo.
