Coming Home (Chapter 2)

*Mononoke's P.O.V*

Within Minutes I was in a big building with a large red roof. The building itself over-looked the entire town, and many ninja crowded the building and I was about to have another mental attack. AH why me? You wanna know why? It's because people need to stop having more people, there are to many!!!!

I walked around whatever hallways until I came to the room at the very top of the building. To tell the truth I was surprised no one tried to stop me from entering the building or anything. I wonder why?

Well anyway I entered a room to see an old man with a big red hat on his head and a white robe on. Oops it looks like someone left grandpa in the wash to long. The old man was wrinkly and had 3 lines coming down from each of his eyes.

"Who are you?!" I turned my attention to the man next to him. That guy was WAY younger then the old geezer. That guy was tanned with brown hair that was in a high pony-tail, which was spiked to stick straight up. This guy also had a fairly large scar on his nose.

Just when I was about to say something the sliding door that I used to enter was slammed open to reveal a very tired and about to pass out brother along with that ninja guy that was supposed to escort me and Hayato here.

"Mononoke what the heck?" My brother said half irritated.

"I-i-it really exists!!!!!"

Now I was point at my brother and I looked like I was looking at the ghost of a serial killer. Everyone was looking at me confused by what I was saying, but I ignored them and continued with what I was doing.

"Momo what the hell are you talking about?" Hayato said with an exasperated look. Well at least I knew I was doing what I was supposed to.

"I-i can't b-believe it. My b-brother i-is b-being NORMAL!!!!"

I started running around the room with my arms flailing in the air while Hayato sweatdropped at my actions. In the background I could hear the ninjas chuckling lightly at me. A couple of second later Hayato was trying to grab by wrist or waist to make me be still, but I easily dodged each one of his attempts. He started trying to chase me while I started running backwards so I could see his face as I ran.

"What do these two want?" I looked to the corner of my eye to see that the brown haired man asked that to the ninja that showed Hayato how to get here.

"They wish to live in our village." He said monotoned.

"Where are their parents or families?"

"The boy said that the parents died on the way here from an illness."

So it looks like Hayato decided to lie to these guys so they wouldn't ask us about a zillion questions we wouldn't know the answers to. Well he came up with a pretty good excuse. I decided to cut into this conversation and stopped dead where I was only to have Hayato crash into me.

"Yes, but may I ask if it will be alright for me and my brother to live here? We aren't that bad, please sir?" I said like a little child as I got knocked to the ground and got up again in seconds.

I quickly bowed to them to show that I was really trying to be sincere. They all looked at me blankly before I saw the old man smile at me warmly.

"Why of course let me see what we have available at the moment for you both to live in?" The elder said as he got up from his seat hunched a little and left the room we were in and went out through the still open sliding door.

"Where’d he go?" I sweatdropped as I felt like I saw a puppy fell down for some reason when I saw his leave.

"He went to his office. This is the area of the building were people come to request missions for our ninjas." said the brown haired ninja that was still sitting at the table.

It was just then that I noticed the papers in front of them and the metal boxes in front of them. The boxes looked like something a person used to collect money when they were working at the fair. Now it was starting to make since to me why no one stopped me from coming here and I was slapping myself mentally for not noticing it earlier.

"HA were is your amazing navigation instincts now sis?"

"Oh shut up Hayato, at least I FOUND the Hokage HIMSELF WITHOUT help."

"Whatever."

Weak comeback means ding, ding, ding, I am the winner as always. World champion, undefeated as always, like I said I am awesome. Yeah I know a little over the top there but so what. Well anyway we waited patiently for the Hokage to return.

He came in with a scroll in his hand and walked slightly hunched again back to his seat.

"We have a few places available for you both to live, but before we do that I would like to ask you both if you are interested in becoming ninja's at the academy for Konoha?"

I sworn my eyes went into amber disk that took up almost my whole face. Wow so that actually let ANYONE try to become a ninja? That's a little stupid for them but hey it's good for me, after all I get to learn some new tricks.

 I looked over at my brother and saw him smile lightly at me and nod his head. Oh he didn't think this through at all did he, oh well he should know better. He'll figure it out later.

"I guess that is a yes for both of us. We would like to attend the Academy."

Well the hokage nodded his head and looked at the scroll again.

"Okay then we have a place that is relatively close to the academy, you both will start tomorrow and this is Iruka, he will be your new Sensei."

He pointed to the brown haired man next to him as he just waved at me and Hayato with a smile. I gave my sensei a smile and waved nicely back to him.

"Well Iruka sensei, as I am sure you probably already know from my brother yelling it, my name isMononoke and this guy here is my older twin brother Hayato."

"May I ask what your last names are?" Iruka asked casually but...crap.

"Well uh..." I sweatdropped at the question. I had no idea what to say since we didn't have last names. I looked to my brother for an answer and he smirked at me since for once I didn't know what to do. Oh well, I glared at him for that even as he answered them.

"Kiyomizu. Kiyomizu Hayato and Kiyomizu Mononoke."

"Nice one bro, that is actually a last name that seems pretty good" I thought as I watched theHokage and Iruka sensei nod their heads.

"I had a feeling you both would want to join the academy so..." The hokage said as he pulled out something from his pocket. He held out a key for both of us and I went over to him and took the key gratefully.

"And also..." He took something else out of his pocket and pulled out a purse full of money and handed it to me. I felt guilty taking the money. It just didn't seem fair.

"Sorry but I can't take this."

"Keep it Mononoke. It is quiet alright, in this village we take care of each other and this will help you both get started."

"Well uh..."

I was dumbfounded by how nice these people were and was really surprised by his answer but soon I straighten up and bowed to him with a sincere smile on my face.

"Thank you sir I will not forget this."

"Alright both of you get home. I have already summoned a ninja to show you the way to your home. Get ready because tomorrow you both will start at the academy at 9 am sharp.

"Arigato Hokage-sama!" Me and Hayato said at the same time while bowing to the leader of OUR village, woh that felt weird to say. The ninja that was supposed to show us home was already at the door and Hayato said good bye to the hokage and Iruka before leaving. I did the same and followed him out, but I stopped at the doorway and turned to face Iruka sensei.

"See you in class tomorrow sensei!"

I saw them look at me blankly before I smiled at the two and followed my brother and the ninja out of the building to our new home.
