Sticky Situation (Chapter 21)

*Mononoke's P.O.V*

"From now on you'll be defending against my attacks."

Then Sasuke kicked that "tracker ninja's" butt to the side. Wow I get caught right in the middle of a fight and my shikigami can't fight worth anything. Actually it hasn't fought at all. It's just standing there like Sakura, and here I felt it disappearing, and that is because I didn't put enough energy in it.

"Thought you were quicker huh? Now what else are you wrong about." Sasuke said as he stood there confidently with his kunai in hand.

"You made a big mistake insulting these ninja and calling them brats. That's just guaranteed to bring out Sasuke's attitude..."

He usually had an attitude so what's the difference.I thought as I looked down at everyone from the kekkai I was standing on top of that was a good 3/4 of a mile into the air.

"And he is the best young fighter of the hidden leaf village."

Hold up, Naruto and me can kick his ass any day so what is he talking about.

“And Sakura here is our sharpest mind."

WHAT?! Kakashi you are making me question your sanity. Yeah and that brought out Sakura's inner-self but...oh well those are his words not mine.

"Then we have our number 1 hyperactive knuckleheaded ninja, Naruto Uzumaki."

Well no arguments here.

"And lastly the one that is like all of them, sharpest mind, best fighter, and knuckleheadedness with a creative and out of the ordinary twist is Mononoke Kiyomizu."

DAMN RIGHT!!! Wait...was that an insult or a compliment...or both. Kakashi sure likes to brag, but anyway something was starting to happen and I wasn't sure what. The air got colder and then that boy called out a jutsu called crystal ice mirrors, and Sasuke got trapped in something like an ice prison.

Kakashi went to go help but he couldn't get over there, then my shikigami went over to try and save him, but something happened and the shikigami disappeared. Then something else unexpected happened...Sakura DID SOMETHING. OMG it must be snowing in hell or the world is about to end.

She threw a kunai threw a crack in the ice prison and it was going to go to Sasuke but then the masked ninja caught it. He was inside the mirrors of the ice prison a second ago but he had to come out to get the kunai so now was my chance.

I reached into my ninja pouch and pulled out a paper bomb and threw it at the masked ninja. It exploded on contact and pushed him out of the mirror completely.

Everyone finally noticed where I was and I could just hear that masked ninja mumbling under the mask that kinda made me blush. He actually repeated what Kakashi said and thought that that's completely what I was. Wow looks like I gotta battle reputation now.

"Hi everyone...missed me." I said giving a peace sign and this was getting a little awkward with everyone looking at me.

All the awkwardness made me lose my concentration on my kekkai and...it was gone...and I started to free fall. Ah shit.

"MOMO!!!" Everyone yelled as I started to fall and just when I was about to hit the ground...a pair of sturdy arms caught me and set me on the ground.

"You ok Momo?" And I looked up to see Naruto looming over me with his bright funny smile, and then he was also the one that caught me.

"I'm fine Naruto."

"Alright then."

Naruto turned to the masked ninja and created some hand signs which I know what it was for...Shadow clone jutsu.

"Alright then your history. Shadow clone jutsu."

Wow I am a mind reader...without the jutsu. Then just when he was about to activate the jutsu Zabuza threw shuriken at Naruto but they were stopped when...that masked ninja threw senbon at them. Why did he save Naruto?

For some reason they started to talk and not fight. What the hell, I thought we were in a life or death battle, why the hell are we talking? So I zoned out and went to my own little world until everyone started to fight again.

Kakashi couldn’t fight because of Zabuza, Sakura was busy guarding Tazuna so that only left me, Naruto, and Sasuke to fight. Sasuke was trapped inside the masked ninja's jutsu and to save him Naruto went inside to save him...and he dragged me in with him. I couldn't think to protest before we were inside and stuck. Thanks Naruto.

"NARUTO the more you help the worser things are getting. You are building a solid reputation as the most clueless ninja in history!!!" I yelled at my getting dumber and dumber friend.

"AH YOU ARE A COMPLETE LOSER!!! You’re a shinobi, think carefully before you move, and why did you bring Mononoke in here, are you trying to get all of us killed in one move." Sasuke yelled at Naruto.

Then they just started to argue over and over again until I smacked both of them on the head. Seriously, life or death fight and they choose to argue. I am surprised we haven't been attacked yet. Right after that Sasuke got up and tried to melt the mirrors but it didn't work. Even Naruto's clones didn't work.

Then that masked ninja started to talk about dreams when Naruto started to talk about his to be the Hokage. He said that it was his dream to make someone else's (Zabuza's) dream come true. That he didn't want to kill us or to become a shinobi and that he will fight for his dream as we fight for ours. Then he asked us not to blame him for he is fighting for another and if he must he will act like a shinobi and kill us.

*Sasuke's P.O.V*

Naruto created more clones and we were about to get attacked by senbon again but then.

"KETSU!!!"

Mononoke was right in front of me and made some kind of hand sign that I have never seen before. Then I heard the senbon bouncing off something and turned to see that we were inside some kind of see through box.

"Mononoke what is this?"

"Well I guess I got no chose but to explain it is called a Kekkai or the kekkai jutsu. It's a jutsu that alters dimensions."

My eyes widen in surprise of this jutsu but had a feeling she wasn't telling me everything. Well her Kekkai kept us from getting hurt from the senbon but how long can she keep this up.

I could see threw the kekkai and saw the water in the air was moving and that Haku moves could be tracked by how the water moved. I am pretty sure Mononoke saw it to. She moved the hand that was still in the hand sign to the side and said "Kai" and the box disappeared, then I thought of something.

"Mononoke I'll need you to do something for me."

"What do you have in mind?"
