Chapter 5: Wait what?

Lapis woke up to the sound of birds tweeting and the sight of sun bursting through the bedroom window. The Princess slowly sat up and rubbed her blue eyes. When she was fully awake, the blue gem looked around her room. The green gem was no where in sight.

"It was all just a dream..." She mumbled as she turned to her right to get out of bed, but instead of stepping on the cold floor, She stepped on something softer.

"Ow ow ow ow ow. Princess you're crushing me!" Cried a voice below the Princess. Lapis looked down at her feet.

"Oh i guess it wasn't a dream." She said still standing on the green gem.

"Get off me!" Yelled Peridot, she pushed Lapis' feet off her stomach causing Lapis to fall. Lapis' butt was now on the floor while her legs lay across the peasants stomach.

"Ow! You shouldn't hurt the Princess!" Peridot was about to say something but the door to Lapis' room opened.

"Is everything alright Lapis?" Said a calm voice.

It's Sapphire. Lapis' eyes widened.

"Uh yeah everything is fine... Just fell out of bed..." She said making sure Sapphire couldn't see Peridot.

"Lapis I know that's not the case." Lapis stood up, trying not to step on the gem below her. She turned around to face the door.

"Oh yeah? Prove it." Said the Princess, while crossing her arms.

"That green gem I spoke of. You have her here don't you. Of course you do, I saw this coming." Sapphire grew a smirk and crossed her arms.

"I...uh..." Lapis cheeks turned light blue.

"Let me see her." Lapis bit her lip and looked down at Peridot, who was still on the floor tangled in a green blanket. Lapis held out her hand and pulled the other gem up off the floor, the blanket still wrapped around her.

"Have you told Blue Diamond about her?"Asked Sapphire.

"No."

"Don't worry, I told her that we'll have a guest staying with us for a while. She's also pleased to know that the guest is from Homeland." Sapphire smiled at the two.

"How come? I thought mom hated people from other lands."

"Ah, but Lapis this one's special. Also your mother wants you and your... Friend(?) to have breakfast with all of us within an hour, a maid will arrive shortly to arrange a bath for your guest and to help you with your clothes." Said the long haired gem before closeing the door.

"Well..... Looks like you're staying here for a while..." Said Lapis. The blue gem was kind of shocked that her mother would let Peridot stay.

Where will she sleep? What does she eat? What's her power? Is she just faking this to assassinate me, my sister or my mom? Or maybe she just wants to kill Sapphire?

"Uh Lapis... You okay?" Said Peridot nervously.

"Y-yeah. I'm fine. A maid will be here soon to run a bath for you so get ready. Oh and uh Peridot... Do you have a weapon on you?"

"Technically no. You see when I was escaping I had to leave my log, limb enchantments and weapon behind."

Limb enchantments eh? No wonder why she's so short.

"I see..." Maybe she is telling the truth.

"Well lets get ready, don't wanna be late for breakfast with the royals now do we?"

Peridot gulped. I'm having breakfast with the royals of the Dark lands... I'm having breakfast with Blue Diamond. Oh my stars...
