It's been two days since Steven and Lapis had visited the fountain. But a certain Peridot still hadn't returned.
Lapis had just finished getting changed for bed. Her sister was already fast asleep but Lapis thought Peridot might come back and she didn't want to miss it. The Princess climbed into bed and grabbed the gem from the pillow next to her. She examined it and brought it to her chest, hugging it gently.
"I love you Peri..."
The Princess finally fell asleep. Minutes later a glow appeared from the gem and Peridot was back in a flash. She was surprised at first. The Green Gem wasn't expecting to be wrapped in a hug by a sleeping Princess, but she wasn't complaining.
"I love you to Lapis~" Peridot kissed the sleeping Princess on her forehead and hugged Lapis tighter, (but not to tight), and eventually she fell asleep too.
