The Princess and The Peasant ~ Lapidot

Chapter 18: Kisses

The girls and Steven pushed past the huge crowds of people and finally spotted their target. A tall woman with black squared shaped hair was getting a drink at the snack table. Steven smiled and lead the other over to Garnet.

"Hey Garnet!"

"Why Hello Steven, Pearl, Amethyst. Who are your friends there?"

"This is Peridot and that's Lapis." The girls gave Garnet a wave and Garnet returned the gesture. The 6 of them made small talk and drank until the party was over.

*About 4 hours later*

The party was now over and the ball room was once again empty. It was now 1:34 AM in the morning, Blue Diamond had gone to bed hours ago. The Princess and her friend however were still awake in Lapis' room.

"So-o, Peri~ how was the * hiccup* ball?" Lapis was lying on her bed flat on her stomach while Peridot sat next to her.

"It was...." Peridot's eyes fluttered shut. The green gem was exhausted, especially since Lapis had been dragging her around all afternoon. The Princess nudged the green gem in the side. "Ah- It was great..." Yawned the sleepy green gem. Lapis looked up at the gem sitting next to her, and began to sit up. Peridot stayed still, slowly drifting off to sleep. Lapis got off her bed and stood infront of Peridot who now looked as if she was in a deep sleeep. The Princess grabbed the green gem by the shoulders and with all the energy she had left, began to shake her.

"Way-ke up Periiiii~" Lapis began to feel weak in the legs, probably about to pass out from running around all evening. She yawned and fell on top of Peridot.

"Ow, Lapiss." Exclaimed the green gem. Lapis had her arms wrapped around her friends stomach and hugged her friend tighter. Her eyes were wide open as she stared at the green gem. Peridot stared back, locking eye contact. What happened next surely surprised them both. The two girls leaned in the same time and kissed. The kiss itself was sloppy and effortless since they were both tired and very tipsy. Their heart rate began to speed up and they both felt all warm and fuzzy. When the kiss ended Lapis and Peridot both fell asleep without any words. It was peaceful and romantic, shame none of them would not remember any of this in the morning.
