Chapter 24: Unite

Blue Pearl knocked on Blue Diamonds study's door. The queen allowed her daughter to come in and soon after a small Blue Pearl stood by the tall door.

"Yes Pearl?" Calmly asked Blue Diamond while filling out paper work at her desk.

"R-Rose Quartz is outside with her army and Lapis and Peridot are with her...." Blue Diamond sighed at her daughters words.

This again?

She got out of her chair and walked towards the door, Blue Pearl following shortly behind her. When she reached the bottom of the stairs she opened the door and there stood Rose Quartz and the rest of her clan.

"Blue Diamond, we do not wish to cause conflict but, we want to form an alliance." Blue Diamond raised an eyebrow at the word.

Alliance? She was confused, why would Rose Quartz, queen of the Crystal lands want to form an alliance with the Dark Lands?

"I think it's best if you all come in..." Blue Diamond opened the door wide so everyone could come in. She watched as small gems, familiar gems and tall gems walked past her and into the ball room.

"Okay so what's this all about?" Asked the Queen of the Dark Lands. Peridot stood up and answered. "Rose Quartz wants to form an alliance because they believe that if we join forces we can stop Yellow Diamond and our destiny of being destroyed will not happen."

"And who told you this?" Asked the blue Queen. Slowly a hand was raised in the crowd of people. A hand so familiar to the queen she knew it all too well. It belonged no other than to Sapphire. The blue gem stood forward.

"You're honour." Sapphire bowed infront of her old leader. Blue Diamond was speechless and not in a surprised way.

"... Sapphire I thought I had banished you and your... Girlfriend to the outlands."

"Yes you did, b-but I was saved by Rose Quartz. She told us that we were free to be who we are and excepted for being us." By now Ruby had stepped forward and was holding onto Sapphires hand. Blue Diamond felt foolish, she had sent a gem to die because she walked in on them? Just like how Yellow Diamond banished Peridot for standing up to love?

"Sapphire I'm-" The smaller gem cut her off. "-It's okay, there's no need to apologise."

"The least I can do is welcome you and your girlfriend back to the Dark lands. You have permission to stay in the castle for as long as you want."Sapphire smiled and Blue Diamond returned it. 

The other gems, Pearl, Amethyst, Garnet, Steven, Lapis, Ruby and Rose had been standing in silence for quite a while.

"Okay, now with that out of the way, are we going to form an alliance or what?" Asked an impatient Lapis Lauzli.

"Fine." Rose smiled at the Blue Queen and the two walked off to discuss and arrange the paper work.

Peridot smiled and turned to Lapis. "High five!" She said excitedly. Lapis returned the gesture and the two were happy again. Peridot wasn't going to die and Lapis was also going to live, according to Sapphire. However the Small blue gem had forgotten to mention something important about the endangered green gem...
