Lapis hummed a song as she walked through the the corridors of the castle. The walls painted blue and cream, and the floor was wooden. The sights and colours never got old. When she arrived at her room, the princess could hear something... Strange. Lapis hesitated before opening her door.

It sounds like... Crying?

Lapis opened the door just a little, but enough to peek through. The door creaked slightly but didn't draw attention.

It's.... Its... It's just Peridot...

The princess let out a sigh of relief and opened the door fully causing the green gem to turn around.

"L-Lapis, y-your back..." Peridot rupped her eyes with her arm trying to hide her tears.

"Peridot... Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah I'm fine."

"Peri, please don't lie to me, now tell me what's wrong?" Lapis sat on her bed next to the smaller gem and wrapped her arms around the green gems stomach. Peridot stiffened as she was forced to lay back on the blue gems lap. Lapis let go of the smaller gem and placed her hand on it's arm.

"It's okay Peridot, I'm here for you." This made Peridot cry more. The green gem slowly turned around and buried her face in Lapis' tummy, while hugging her waist tightly, causing the taller gem to blush dark blue.

"I-its tha I miss h-homeland." Peridot lied. The real reason was because she was afraid that Lapis would like someone else better than her. The homeland gem has never felt anything like Lapis was making her feel... Lapis made her feel special and warm and sometimes tingly. Peridot was afraid of losing Lapis...

"Aw there, there. It's okay, you got me."

Peridot smiled and hugged the Princess tighter.

Maybe Blue Pearl was right... Maybe Lapis is 'super' into me...

"Wait... So you're telling me that I can leave the castle?" Lapis was extremely confused. Blue Dimond, the Princess' mother, was telling her daughter that she could go and leave the castle, just like that. After all the years of begging and begging her mother said 'yes' just like that.

"Yes."

"Mum, it's not April fools you can stop joking..." Lapis told the woman sitting in the throne.

"You know when I'm joking." Lapis turned to Sapphire.

"She's serious." Said the smaller blue gem.

"Sooooo.... Me and Peridot can go to town?"

"Yes."

"Mum are you sure you're okay?"

"Lapis if you're afraid to leave the castle you can stay here." This caught Lapis by surprise.

"No, nope, I'm not scared. Be back before sunset, thanks mom, bye!" Lapis yelled while walking out the door backwards.

"Are you sure she'll be safe?" Blue Dimond turned to look at Sapphire.

"If you want them to fall in love then you must let her go." Sapphire smiled at her Dimond.

"I just want my daughter to be happy."
