It's been 38 years since Lapis and Peridot had met. They have been married for 10 years and have had a daughter together. Their daughter is 3 years old.
Lapis closed the book at turned to her child. "And that dear was the story on how I, Lapis Lauzli met your mother, Peridot." Peridot turned to Lapis and gave her a smile. "She's too young for you to tell her."
"I know, but it makes a great bed time story don't you think?" Lapis turned to her daughter. She was peacefully sleeping in a cradle.
"She reminds me of you." Said Peridot with a smile.
"Oh yeah?" Lapis looked up at her wife.
"Think she'll be a great queen one day?" Asked Peridot.
"She'll be the best." Lapis hugged the green gem and picked her up.
"Hey what's this for?" Asked the green gem.
"Time for bed Peri." Peridot shook her head.
"I'm not a child Lapis." She said playfully.
"No, but you're mine." Lapis gave her wife a kiss as she placed Peridot in their queen size bed.
"Goodnight Princess." Whispered Peridot. She obviously knew Lapis wasn't a Princess anymore but it was a nickname Peridot had given her when they were younger.
"Goodnight Peasant." Replied Lapis with a smile. Remembering the first night she met Peridot.
"I love you Lapis. Forever and always."
"I love you too Peri."
And the two peacefully fell asleep.
