Ch108-Controlling Powers

Tuesday

Aphmau's P.O.V.

I'm in the cafeteria eating breakfast with Emmalyn. She really want to study my powers and I don't have anything to do today so I'm going to let her. When we have finished breakfast we head down to the beach. We walk for a little while so we aren't close to anyone else and no one will see us.

Emmalyn tells me to use my powers and I say I don't know how to. She reads her book and it says that Lady Irene could control water.

I turn to the ocean, make myself extremely calm, I close my eyes and raise my arm. The water slowly rises and I pull it towards me. I then try to push and pull back the tides. Emmalyn is writing noted and she tells me to try and create a wave.

I attempt to make a big wave but my powers aren't really strong enough yet and I end up soaking Emmalyn and I. Luckily her books and note book is alright and not wet. I try and remove the water from our clothing but I still can't really do that.

I let out a big hug of air out of frustration and I end up blowing allot of air. Enough to dry Emmalyn and I off.

"I think you can control air" she says adjusting her glasses

"Wow that's pretty cool" I say looking at my hands

'"Yeah it is but now my hair and your hair is all frizzy" she says

"Let's go back to the inn and get ready for lunch" I say

We go back into the inn and we each take a shower. I put on some purple shorts, a grey top and a pair of brown boots. I apply my eyeliner and mascara and I put on green tea lipgloss. I brush my hair and pull it into a ponytail with purple flower decorations.

I head down into the cafeteria and join my friends. Suddenly someone pushes me and I fall. I look to see who it is and I am met by Missy's overly exposed body. I get dressing how you want but all she is wearing is a tiny bikini with high heals.

"Oh whoops, my bad" she says

Her make up is way to much. She has really red lips that is spilling the colour that makes her look like Miranda sings. Her eyeshadow is like a failed smokey eye and she looks like a raccoon.

"Oh it's ok, I get how you can't see through all that makeup and stupidity" I reply sassily

She raised her hand to slap my but I grab her arm before she does and I throw her off balance making her fall to the ground. I join my friends at my table and start eating.

Missy comes up to us and starts picking fights with Cadenza, Lucinda and Katelyn. She is trying to convince Laurence and his friends to sit with them but they declined because they don't want to leave us.

Missy leaves for a split second and she comes back with her group. Lillian ditches them and she goes to the line up to get coffee. Missy and her friends are pushing their "chests" and bodies up against the boys in an effort to persuade them to go with them. I secretly use my water powers and dump water on all of the girls.

They scream and run to the bathroom. We all burst into laughter. While everyone is distracted Emmalyn and I sneak off to the beach.

"Aphmau, did you use your powers?" She asks

"Yeah I did, I think that they are more powerful with my emotions" I say

"That might be true. Until you can control them properly they will become more powerful with your emotions" she says

After that Emmalyn tries a series of different experiments with my powers. She learns allot about my powers. They are fuelled by my emotions. Jealousy and anger will be very strong and indifference is very weak. If I'm calm I'm also very powerful with water. I need to be happy to use air strongly. That is all I know, I hope I can learn more soon.

When we are done I walk down the beach and just try to take inn all I have learnt in the past few days about my powers.

It is getting late now and the sun is setting. I spent allot of my day practising my powers. I hear someone running towards me and I turn around to see McCloud.

"Hey McCloud, what's up?" I ask him

"Where might you be goin'?" He asks

"Oh I'm just taking a walk on the beach to calm myself" I reply

"I saw Ye doin' things with magiks" he says

"O-oh you saw that?" I say looking down

"Don't worry lass I haven't told anyone" he replies

"Thank You, want to walk with me?" I ask

"Aye" he answers

We walk down the beach together talking about my school. He says that he is going to go there because he wants to try to be a normal eighteen year old. When the sun is almost set we end up back at the inn. I say goodbye to him and he wraps his arm around me hugging me. I hug him back and I feel a red tinge on my cheeks. When he lets go I return inside.

Inside my dormitory all my girl friends are in there.

"Aphmau, we need to talk" Cadenza says

"About what?" I say laughing nervously

What in the name of Irene could they possibly be talking about.

"We know you have powers" Lucinda says

"What, how did you know?!" I say shocked

"We know you dumped water on Missy" Katelyn says through laughter

I explain my powers to them and they all promise not to tell anyone. We are all still laughing because of Missy. I really am happy to have great friends who understand me.
