"I didn't see you at all at school yesterday." Lucky said as he stood in the kitchen cooking eggs in the frying pan his hair crazy and shirtless with grey sweatpants. A great look for him really.

"Well I guess I didn't see you either." I shrugged and hopped onto one of the barstools around the island in our apartment.

"Did you meet anybody yet? And new best friends?" He added. His back still to me.

"Yup. I met a boy." I grinned knowing he would be mad.

Lucky hesitated slightly. And turned off the burner with a snap and walked to the fridge.

"You think I may know him?" He asked and opened the fridge.

I shrugged.

"Jarred Harrison. I think it was."

Lucky met my face and kissed my forehead.

"I don't like him." He murmured his soft lips against my skin.

"Lucky! You don't even know him." I wined and jumped out of my seat.

"I've been at that school for about 3 years, Anna. You've been there for a day."

I grimaced and started to walk back to my bedroom when lucky picked me up and my legs wrapped around his waist.

"You didn't tell anyone about our little secret right?" He asked and kissed my cheek.

I pushed his face away from mine.

"Of course I didn't." I rolled my eyes.

I suddenly felt very suspicious about lucky. Like I get he wouldn't want anyone to know because.. It's not normal? It was a mistake? I don't really know but the way he didn't even want me to tell anyone at all that could have any contact with him was just slightly weird.

"Will you eat with me at lunch today babygirl?" He added trying to coo me.

I glanced at him and he pulled me to him in a hug and rested his chin on my neck.

"I don't know. I'll see."

He scoffed and pulled away.

"You'll see?" He rolled his baby blues.

I shrugged.

Suddenly lucky became serious. He walked closer to me again. He glided his finger over my forehead moving the stay hairs behind my ear leaving a tingling sensation. I let out the air I was holding in through my nose as I stared up at Lucky's eyes.

"What are we Annie?" He asked brushed his finger over my cheek distracting me slightly.

I shrugged.

"Best friends?"

His jaw set he nodded obviously hurt and back away.

"Right." He muttered.

he grabbed his backpack and slung it over his arms as he walked. He snatched his keys from the island. As lucky stood in the door ready to leave I stopped him my voice as quiet as a mouse.

"H-how am I supposed to get to school?"

He sighed and slouched against the doorframe.

I hesitated slightly staring at him.

"Hurry up Andrea. I have things to do." He glared now in a bad mood.

"Lucky it's not my fault your stuck in the friend zone. I don't like you like that! grow up." I said and suddenly regretting it as Lucky's had came in contact with my face.

Everything when quiet.

Lucky gasped and looked at his hand.

I clutched my cheek that already started to throb.

"Y-you just slapped me!" I screamed. Lucky ran up to me and wrapped his arms around me tightly.

"I didn't- I don't know- I-im really sorry Annie. I feel so bad." He croaked.

I wiped my eyes and nodded.

"I-it's ok Lucky. Y-you didn't mean to right? No big deal."

He nodded and kissed my forehead.

"We should um probably go."

"I think I may just walk." I said quietly.

"But it's far.." Lucky trailed off and nodded. He stepped outside the door,

"Um Anna?"

"Yeah,"

"Let's not tell anyone about this ether." He said sadly and turned down the hall.

"Ok." I mumbled.
