Authors side note;

I just wanted to say that I made this Chapter as the second half of the last one. The last chapter 'Knowing', looked a tad bit long to me, this is 'Knowing 2.0'.

Enjoy the chapter.

I glanced over at Hunter for the fifth time since we had left his house and his pose was the same as it was ten minutes ago. He sat stiff and straight, his lips were pressed in a thin and tight line. He was acting cold towards me since we left the house. He asked me what I did the other day and he asked me not to lie about it. I was confused and scared and he told me to wait in his room and watch TV until my clothes were dry and then he left. And when he returned with my dry clothes he told me to get dressed, that we were leaving.

He couldn't have realized that I had lied.. I didn't tell him anything about what happened yesterday, how Oliver had healed me. I was sure that I couldn't tell anyone that Oliver wasn't human, this was something I had to keep to myself. It's not like anyone would believe me even if I told them.

Hunters truck pulled into a parking spot and he cut the engine and we sat there in silence.

I sat there and stared out the window, it was still cloudy and although it wasn't raining anymore, there was still a fine mist. The campus was completely deserted.

"You've been healed"

I sat in my seat frozen, "What do yo--"

"You can cut the bullshit..You've been healed by a vampire" He turned his head to look at me and I turned to look at him, but I couldn't hold his gaze.

"How do you.. I mean.." my words trailed off, because I was speechless.

"How do I know you've been healed by a vampire..?" He said almost bitterly and I realized his words echoed my thoughts. "Because I can smell it on you, that's why"

I reached for the door handle but Hunter was already out of his seat, he threw his door open and slammed it closed and was over to my side almost instantly. He pulled open my door and hesitantly, I grabbed ahold of my messenger bag and stepped out, trying to stay brave and calm.

"Thanks for inviting me to your house to let me get dried off. I appreciate it"

Hunter stood before me and tilted his head, he looked away and she shut the door behind me. "You need to be careful who you're around, Zane. You could end up hurt"

I sighed and looked away from Hunter. Was he a vampire? He had to be. They must have some super heightened ability to smell.

"Thanks for your concern" I retorted.

The school bell rang loudly throughout the campus and the thunder began rumbling loudly. "Now just go to your next class like you were here the entire time", Hunter said and then he turned away from me and headed off into the massive sea of students heading across the school parking lot on their way to their classes. I rolled my eyes, searching the crowds for the direction Hunter had disappeared in. But he was no where in sight.

I turned and headed off in the opposite direction of Hunter, heading off to Economics, a class I didn't want to be late for. As I entered the main building of the school, the loud buzz of students chating filled my ears. I glanced to the left and then to the right, my eyes caught a glimpse of a familiar backpack. I pushed through the students until I was free.

"Cassandra!" I called out to her, she was slightly ahead of me, surrounded by the Nelson twins. But she stopped and looked around in confusion. "Cassandra, over here!" I called out again and she looked over right at me. She smiled and waved as I walked up.

"Hey Z, did you hear?" Cassandra said excitedly.

"Hear what?" I asked, tilting my head.

"There's a party tonight! It's going to be absolutely fucking huge! You wanna know why?" Heather's eyes were wide as she peered into my face.

"Hedi Slovoski is throwing the party" Cassandra grinned.

I raised my eyebrows. Hedi was known around school as the popular. She was head of the Cheer squad, Captain of gymnastics and Star volleyball player. But she was also widely known as the stereotypical school Slut. Cassandra went on about how there were no invites, you just showed up and either got accepted or rejected.

"So let me get this straight, you girls are going to get ready for.. hours to show up at Heidi's party, even though you could possibly be told that you can't go inside?" I glared at Cassandra and The Nelson twins and they all nodded in agreement.

"I mean.. Well, yeah" said Heather defensively.

"A minute till the bell rings for class, Ladies and Gentleman!" said a teacher who stood nearby his opened door, he repeated this several times to the lingering students standing by, chatting.

"We'll talk about it more at lunch" Cassandra waved and turned, heading off to her class.

In Economics instead of taking notes, I made a chart. I wrote down the title at the top of my compostion

'Life Confusion to Making sense chart'

I drew three bubbles at the top of my paper and wrote in each of the three bubbles; Oliver, Hunter, Chris. And then I wrote down Human, beneath Chris's name, Vampire beneath Olivers's name and a Question mark beneath Hunter's name.

I let out a short and obnoxious laugh in the middle of class and several people turned around to give me a 'What the fuck' look. I was embarrassed, but more concerned about my insanity. If I had ever lost this piece of paper and someone were to find it and pick it up, they'd simply laugh at its contents and ball it up and toss it in the trash thinking it was notes for a fantasy story. It's not like I didn't have proof that Oliver wasn't human because I did and I think that's why I didn't want to believe it.
