Pushing my way through the already crowded halls, I noticed the bell hadn't rung yet but lots of kids had arrived early and were hanging around and bullshitting in the hallways. I got this amazing idea last night before falling asleep that I'd go to the office and change out my first hour. Smartest idea in the world.

I made a beeline for the office doors and tugged the brass handle open, walking past the glass doors, and noticed the line at the counselors desk and I sighed, feeling the irritation rise. Taking out my phone I quickly texted Cassandra letting her know I'd be late to the table this morning.

In the office, will most likely be late to the table this morning, there's a long damn line of people.

Hitting send, I shoved my phone back into my pocket, glancing around the office my eyes stopped dead on none other than Mr. Salvatore himself. He was talking to our principal and they were whispering intently about something, but Mr. Salvatore stopped whispering and snapped his head in my direction and his eyes landed right on me. I swallowed hard and he whispered something to the principal and began to stride in my general direction.

"Whose next..?" the counseler said in a dry tone and I stepped forwards, looking over her golden name plaque, which read;

Mrs. Engle

"I uh..was wondering if I could get a schedule change?" I said in a hushed tone, but it was too late because Mr. Salvatore was now leaning against the counselers desk and his eyes were trained on me.

"What class are you wanting to switch?" Mrs. Engle said slowly as if she was annoyed that I was there. She sat there looking at me expectantly with her fingers perched above the keyboard.

But, I couldn't answer because he was standing there, not looking at me but he was listening. Mrs. Engle cleared her throat and spoke again "Didn't you hear me? Hello?" she said impatiently and glanced at Mr. Salvatore, shooting him a disgusting beaming smile.

".. I uh.. My first hour" I managed to croak out and Mr. Salvatore turned his head and his eyes fell onto me.

"And who's your first hour teacher?" she asked.

"I'm his first hour teacher" he said with a smile as he turned to look at Mrs. Engle who looked disgustingly mesmerized.

"What's your school I.D number, hun?" she said as she continued to grin at Mr. Salvatore like the disgusting old lady she was.

"235834" I said, lowering my eyes onto the desk, my cheeks burning red.

She entered it in and sighed before retorting sharply "All classes are filled up right now, its usually always packed like this in the beginning of the new school year"

"Oh.." I said disappointed and this somehow triggered a chuckle from Mr. Salvatore and I flinched, wasting no time in gathering up my papers and schedule, I made a hasty exit for the door. Get to the hallway. Get to the hallway. Get to the hallway. I silently chanted to myself.

"Grant" I heard the voice call out and I stopped mid step and stood there before deciding to turn around and guess who, Mr. Salvatore.

"Is there a reason why you want to be removed from my class? I'm not that bad of a teacher am I..?" he said as he came closer and closer, his voice was calm and his chuckle was smooth.. he appeared so normal. But the face fit of the man who was covered in blood at Langer canal.

"I should really get to my friends" I said in a hell of a rush to get as far as I could from him.

"What's the rush..?" his voice dropped to a low hiss and I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up "Why don't you come back to the class" he said it as more of a statement than a question.
