"Bye, Mom. Yeah.. Okay. Love you too" I said and hung up the phone. I pressed my thumb on the "end call" button and my phone buzzed, informing me of a new text. It was from Chris. I opened it and read;

Meet me in the library.

I frowned and reread the text, confused as to why he was in the library. I sighed and then chuckled to myself, I was becoming quite the bad ass. Ditching two class periods in one day.. I glanced down at my phone and typed in a response;

Alright, I'm on my way.

The lunch bell rang and I sighed in relief of not having to sneak off to the library by myself, with no other students in the hallway. As I turned to head off in the direction of the library, a flood of students made their way into the hallway and I blended right in. The hallway was packed from wall to wall with chattering kids and it was difficult to walk, people were pushing and shoving.

"Walk faster, bitch" a dark skinned girl said in annoyance, she was surrounded by two other girls and they were having a stare down with other girls.

"Who the hell are you talking to?" said a shorter girl with blonde curly shoulder length hair. The girl next to her which I'm assuming was her friend whispered something to her.

"You better listen to your friend and back off you white trash bitch" said the dark skinned girl and everyone gasped because they knew what was to come next.

"Bitch!" said the blonde girl and at that exact moment they both launched themselves at each other and fell to the floor. The crowd was eerily silent aside from the gasps and "Oooo's" when one of the girls landed a punch.

"Get the fuck off!" shouted one of the girls.

I glanced back and saw the principal heading towards the direction of the fight and I hissed out "Principal heading this way".

It was as if I said I had a deathly disease because students rushed off in every direction, some lagged behind to capture the fight on video. The principal was yelling for the two girls to stop their fighting, the last time I glanced back the two girls were still tangled up on the floor, slapping, punching and pulling hair.

But then I remembered that Chris was waiting for me and I jogged down the long hallway to the library, pushing through the large doors, the smell of books filled my nostrils and I quietly closed the doors behind me, feeling as if I had needed to even walk quiet. The library was a large room, with tall book cases aligned in rows on the left side of the room and the right. All the way to the back of the library were large windows and large round and rectangle tables and lone large comfy chairs, along with the occasional beanbag chair. I smiled to myself, remembering when I used to go to the library as a kid and get lost in the world of books. My grandmother always used to say the best way to spand your imagination was to read as much books as possible, but that time had passed and so had my grandmother.

I sighed and glanced around the library, the librarian sat perched behind the desk and I watched as she nodded at me, giving a small smile to which I nodded back in return as I walked past her and headed down the long row of book cases, figuring I'd check the back tables first and then the quiet rooms. Which were noise isolated rooms with tables, where you could go and study or read in complete silence. As I began to head toward the back tables, my phone buzzed and I quickly pulled it out, glancing around to make sure no teachers were around.

Where are you? I've been waiting for years almost

I rolled my eyes at Chris's text and typed in a response;

I'm in the library, looking for you. hold your horses..

"But, what if I don't have any horses?" a hushed and familiar voice said and I spun around to see Chris standing there, his back pack slung over his shoulder.
