I pushed the thick double doors open to the library and as I walked in, I began questioning myself why I didn't come here more often. The place was huge and serene. But it turns out a lot of other students must have thought the same thing because the library was pretty full. But if you had walked into the place with your eyes closed, you wouldn't even know the place was full because each student was so quiet.

I didn't want Hunter to have to look for me, so I hung out near the front of the Librarians huge desk, closest to the doors. I was admiring the huge vases of flowers when my phone buzzed in my back pocket. It was a text from Cassandra:

What are u doing after school

I contemplated on rather or not I should tell her the truth or tell a little white lie. But my fingers started moving before I could even finish the thought:

Actually, Yes. Going to Hunter's.

I was about to hit send when a voice startled me from behind. "Woah, we've got a level ten Badass over here"

I turned, looking right down into the face of the thin blonde girl from the cafeteria earlier. I raised my eyebrows in confusion and she giggled.

She pointed towards a sign that I was covering which read: 'The library is a quiet place. Please refrain from using your phone"

I laughed nervously and slid my phone back into my pocket. "And now I see why that sign is there, Because paying attention to your surroundings is near impossible when you're on your phone"

She nodded and stepped past me to smell the beautiful multicolored flowers that took up a large amount of space on the countertop. "These are really beautiful"

I nodded and watched her, but my eyes were drawn to an odd looking tattoo that covered the inside of her wrist. It was a medium circle tattoo and inside of it was where the black ink zigged and zagged off in different directions. Encircling those zig zags was another thicker lined circle of ink.

She suddenly tugged her long sleeve down to cover her wrist "Hasn't anyone ever told you that it's rude to stare?" She said in an icy tone.

My phone buzzed in my pocket and I hoped that it was Hunter telling me he was on his way. "Ah, a friend is waiting for me outside. Sorry for being rude" I grinned and slid past her to head towards the doors and I felt her eyes practically burning into me.

I rounded the corner, letting out a deep breath as I stepped into the hall and crashed into something hard. "Geez, watch it, will you?" Growled a familiar voice.

I rubbed at my shoulder and looked right up into Hunters face. The look of annoyance quickly left his face and was replaced by a look of concern "Why do you look so freaked?"

I glanced behind me at the library doors and then down the hall behind Hunter. "Let's just get to your place, please?"

I slid into the seat of Hunters new truck, it was obviously new Because it was gray and this was the first time I had seen him driving it. "You got a new truck?" I asked, just to confirm my thoughts.

He started up the truck and briefly glanced at me before looking out the rear window as he backed us out of the parking space.A smirk was on his lips. "You're red"

I was, but only because a few moments before we got to the truck, Hunter picked up his pace and opened the truck door for me. "Is this a new truck?"

He chuckled as we pulled onto the streets "My truck is in the shop, getting fixed up a bit"

I nodded and looked out the window to hide my (probably still) red face. "It's nice"

"Mmm"

"So.. When can I start asking questions?"
