I shot up in bed, my hair and forehead was slick with sweat. I pushed back and covers and sat up in bed, swinging my legs over the side of the bed. I glanced at the clock on the bedside table and even though I had slept soundlessly through the night, waking up at five in the morning didn't make me happy. I still felt tired, like I needed more rest. I glanced around for the water that Oliver said he would set out for me, but there was Nothing on the bedside table besides the lamp, clock and my charging phone.

I quickly jerked my head to the left, a string of soft thuds came from one of the rooms. I closed my eyes and strained my ears to listen. I must've been concentrating too hard because all I could hear was the loud beat of my heart, in my ears. I pushed myself up off the bed and pushed back the already half open door. I stepped out into the hallway and heard the thuds again. My eyebrows went up in confusion, it sounded like someone was hammering something while drunk.

I stepped forwards and the thuds became louder, still uneven and I heard what sounded to be like a muffled groan or whimper, which startled me. I rushed forwards and pushed open the half closed door to see what was wrong with Oliver. But, instead I was 'graced' with the sight of Oliver naked, roughly taking another male from behind over his desk. In front of them there was a large open window which overlooked the buildings and businesses of the city. I watched Olivers firm ass, tighten and untighten as he drilled the groaning man before him.

"...Nnygh, Oliver.."

I stood there watching and to my surprise, what I had thought to be a man was actually a young boy who looked to be somewhere around my age. He lay there, bent over the desk, with his cheek pressed to the desk. He looked helpless as Oliver gripped the boys arms, pulling them behind him as he continued to thrust away.

I stood there, an overwhelming feeling of nausea washed over me. I felt disgusting for having stood there so long, watching them. I felt disgusting for being so upset that he was doing what he was doing. I felt disgusting that I was in his home. I simply felt disgusting. And that was enough to get my feet moving. I gathered up my things from the room I slept in. I made up the bed in a rush and placed everything as it originally was. And as I rushed towards the exit of his flat, I heard the boys pleasured screams as he orgasmed and I felt my eyes start to tear up. The tears spilled down onto my cheeks, I was crying because I didn't know why I was crying. This whole thing was stupid. But I knew one thing, Mr. Salvatore, was simply To good to be true.

I circled the book rack a third time, which confirmed what I had thought I had seen. After leaving the dreaded whore house, I called my mom and told her I was leaving Cassandra's to swing by the library and then I'd be home. And as I got off the phone, it was then that I saw Christopher.

At first, I barely recognised him. His pale skin was even paler and he had dark red circles around his eyes, he looked terrible. I felt like running towards him to embrace him and ask if he was okay. But, a tall, lean, brunette beat me to it. Although she didn't run to him and embrace him, she had Chris's undivided attention. They were sternly whispering to each other between the book shelves and Chris seemed to be upset.

"Excuse me..Would you be interested in signing up for a library tutor?"

I quickly turned to look behind me, into the rather large eyes of a girl who had her hair in braided pigtails. I raised my eyebrows and backed up, my sneaker accidentally hitting the over-stuffed rotating book shelve, which caused a bit of a scene. I cursed under my breath when several people glared over at the brief commotion. "Uhm, No thanks."

The girl stood there a few moments longer, "Are you sure because, I'm a great tutor."

I couldn't help but chuckle at her persistence but inside I was annoyed. "No, thank you." I repeated and I side stepped her. I glanced back over to the spot where Chris was standing, but it was now empty.

"Shit" I murmured to myself softly, raking my fingers through my hair. I tried to glance around as casually as possible as I headed down the aisle that Chris and the brunette had been.

"Typical Zane, snooping.."

The familiar voice startled me and I spun around to face, Chris. He looked even sicker up close. His normal bright blue eyes, looked dark blue. Purplish bruises sagged around and beneath his eyes.

"..I--Chris, What's happened to you..?" hot tears started to build and sting my eyes as I reached to touch his face.

He chuckled and reached up to pull my hand away from his face. "You're always worrying..Which was a cute thing. But now it seems as if your life depends on worrying" He held tight onto my hand, the pain rising from my wrist to my fingers. "Things won't get any better.."

As I looked into his eyes, there was a blank -- almost vacant look, staring back at me. I remained calm. "Chris, you're hurting me.." I said softly as I eyed his steadily tightening grip on my wrist.

The vacant look disappeared and he released my wrist. "You shouldn't be here" he said, sounding concerned. I watched in confusion as he looked around as if we were being watched and he started to back away from me. "Watch your back"

I stood there in pure confusion as Chris disappeared. The look on his face told me that he wanted to be left alone, his words, the way he spat them at me as if I were the most disgusting thing on this planet was one of the many things that told me to simply let Chris be. To not follow after him, even though I was very much concerned for him.

So I did just that.
