I awoke to the sound of Naruto's snores and my alarm clock going off. Pushing myself up, I urged my body to move instead of hiding in my warm covers... which I've never been able to do unless I was just deadly sick (which was still never). I went to the bathroom, turned to where the mirror should be, and then begun to unravel my bandages. I held my breath. The matter of the fact was there could have been a slight chance that my vision could return. It was a mere 12% but there was possibly a slight chance my new dream could come true: to have my sight back.

A lot of people would ask: Why don't you have an eye transplant? Well, first off, Naruto and I didn't have that type of money, even with my hospital employee discount. Secondly, I have a very rare blood type, due to my Kekkei Genkai, and I can only take the same blood type... which I'm the only known body in the Leaf that is known to have it. Even though Naruto and I are twins, he doesn't share the rare blood type with me. But seeing that I want his dream to come true, I would have refused either way if Naruto offered his eyes... and he did, but I refused and it was impossible anyway. But this was why I had to have faith in the return of my sight.

Once the bandages fell, I slowly opened my eyes. I saw dim blurs of color. Mainly red from my hair but that was about it. I sighed as I then stripped and hopped into the shower to get ready for the day.

I imagined myself to have pale skin and long red, fiery hair... seriously, my hair was the main color I saw when looking in the mirror when I took my bandages off. My ninja outfit would consist of a blue and white zip up shirt, the white going down with the zipper, and a line under my chest. I also wore black shorts with my weapon's holster on my right leg and my pouch on my left hip. I wore blue ninja sandals and always had my hair up in a pony tail held together with a white ribbon.

Being blind wasn't a huge deal for me, but it was for Naruto. Being blind and still being a ninja was mind blowing. And seeing that I could be a ninja blind made Naruto realize he could, in fact, become Hokage one day. So, in return for Naruto believing in me, I devoted myself to make my brothers dream a reality. I had tried to teach my brother some simple jutsu but he failed at every attempt. I'd have to put things simply before he could get it mentally. He had to do it over and over again to get it physically.

After washing my hair and rinsing off, I got out, dried off, got dressed, brushed my hair out, dried my hair via wind style, wrapped a fresh set of bandages around my eyes, brushed my teeth, did some other hygienical stuff, and then made my way into the kitchen.

I decided to wake up a little earlier than normal, just to make sure Naruto would stay within my 'sights' and I could actually make breakfast at a relaxed pace. I had decided on omelets with toast and a side of fruit. After getting everything out I made my way to Naruto's room. Before I could even get near his bed I face planted into the floor tripping over something not even half a foot away from the door. In all honesty Naruto's room was the only thing I remained terrified of after I lost my sight. But after a fall like this Naruto would realize it was time to clean his room... if there was ever any reason for me to enter his room, it would be for instances like this: to wake him up, when I had nightmares, or just needed my brother.

Naruto rustled around for a moment before his eyes must have shot open, "Oh my gosh, Holota! Are you ok?" He had jumped out of the blankets to help me up. "You need to clean your room," I grumbled light heartedly. I wasn't upset sense nothing was broken. "Uh, yeah, I'll clean it after school today," He replied, chuckling half heartedly. I straightened, and dusted myself off as I then found the door again, "Get ready, you don't want to be late for the exam today." "Oh yeah! Today's the day we become Genin!" Naruto beamed. I walked out as he rushed to the bathroom. "Breakfast will be ready when you get out!" I called. All I got was a simple, "Ok!"
