True Natures

The crowd cheered as I just stood there panting for air as I suddenly fell to one knee. I had used way too much chakra up, but I guess it was worth it. It was then Naruto jumped from the sky box and hugged me, "I knew you could do it!" I just giggled, "Thanks, Naruto... now you've got to beat Neji." "Oh yeah, I will! Believe It!" Naruto shouted. I just laughed as I got to my feet, "Good luck, Nii-san."

I then made it up to the sky box, somehow, without passing out. "Good job, Holota. I must say, you are quite the prodigy," Shino complemented. "Thanks," I replied, sitting up against the wall and the railing. Gaara glanced at me, making sure I was alright, then turned back to watch my brother and Neji begin their fight.

They began to fight as Naruto would out smart Neji, then Neji would be a bastard and beat up Naruto and use his gentle fist. It then came down to Neji explaining the Hyuga Branches and the past of the Hyuga Clan... man the guy could hold a grudge! But it was only after his speech that Naruto began to glow orange. This caught everyone's attention as I just smirked, "That's my brother." Gaara however was the only one to catch it as he glanced to me, then back to Naruto. Naruto then out witted Neji again as he then came up from the ground and punched him in the jaw. With Neji unable to move, Naruto won! As he then began to kiss to his growing fan base. I was proud of him.

I just smirked but it soon faded after I got to my feet when Shika bust out with, "Whoa! He won?! Seriously? I thought he was a lame ass like me?" I then punched Shika in the stomach, "Downgrade my brother or yourself one more time, you'll be watching your step for the next month," I then raised an eyebrow, "Come on, Shika, you know better." He just grunted as he replied with, "Yes, ma'am."

Shino then commented on Shika's rant, "Lame ass type? Everyone's cheering him on, so he's definitely the kick-ass type." "Well I would think so," I smiled, leaning on the railing. "I probably can't even beat him now... how depressing," Shika moped. I then elbowed him in the gut as he leaned over, "You know what, Shika, you're not a lame ass, you're a lazy smart-ass who doesn't know the meaning of 'confidence boost' or 'motivation'."

I heard Temari snicker as Shino just chuckled. Shika just let out a sigh, throwing an arm over my shoulders, "I'll learn them eventually." "My point, you lazy-ass ninja!" I snapped playfully at him. I then noticed Gaara seemed to be more on edge than normal.

Not too long after, Naruto came back up to join us, the crowd started throwing a fit about the match wanting to be started but Uchiha was nowhere to be found. "What the heck is that guy doing? Is he planning to forfeit?" Shika grumbled. "Confucious said, 'The wise do not approach the dangerous.' A wise decision perhaps?" Shino spoke up.

Naruto just glared at Gaara. "Are you serious, Shino? If Uchiha was not to approach the dangerous, I don't think he would have approach me with his irritating smirk and annoying flirting attempts. So what makes you think he'll be smart enough not to show up?" I questioned a-matter-of-factly. They all sweat dropped as Shino replied, "You have a good point."

"What are you talking about? He'll definitely be here," Naruto smirked. "Well, that's what he told me when parted ways last night." "What?!" Naruto went into hysterics, "When did you see Sasuke?!" "After he threw pebbles at my window... besides, I got to use him as a punching bag for some midnight sparing, so there was no way in hell I was going to pass up a chance like that... the only thing I couldn't punch out of him, unfortunately, was his damn pride," I replied. Shika just chuckled with Shino as Naruto's jaw hung open.

One of the Jounin then hopped down into the arena with Genma as they began to discuss. It wasn't long before the other Jounin left and Genma announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, the contestant for the next match hasn't arrived yet! Therefore, We will push the match back and begin the next one!" Everyone was surprised, but I was just glad they weren't disqualified... even though I didn't want to two to fight each other.
