At this, my eyes changed again, now becoming green and very fox-like. "Naruto!" By the time I had reached him he was already encased in sand. And at that moment, Gaara was ready to squeeze Naruto into a pulp. My foxiness kicked in and I used Shigusa's chakra to control Gaara's sand, fighting it from taking away my brother's life. Shukaku seemed stunned, but all I did was protectively growl as in warning to stay away from my brother. It was all too sudden when I heard Naruto muffle, "Summoning Jutsu!" And the next thing I knew, the sand had dispersed and I was on the head of a very familiar toad.

"You again?! What cha want, you brat?" the toad bellowed. I knew this that voice from anywhere, "Gumabunta?" "Well, if it ain't miss Holota, how ya doin', squirt?" He chuckled. "What?! How do you know Boss Toad?" Naruto screeched, pointing a finger at me. "I'm good, but now isn't the time to be catching up, we have business to attend to," I replied, ignoring Naruto for the moment as he then nodded adding, "Right." The giant toad just glared at the tanuki, "So, that's Shukaku, is it not?" "Yes, it is," I replied.

Gumabunta then went into a speech about how he wouldn't help because Naruto wasn't twenty yet as then a smaller frog jumped on Naruto's head... finding out his name was Gamakichi and was the Boss Toad's son. Which then Gamakichi pulled the 'he-was-bullying-me' card and said that Naruto had saved him... but when did he summon the little sucker? But once it was discovered that his son had been bullied, Gumabunta agreed to fight and recognize Naruto as his summoner.

I just smiled, and, with that, I bit my thumb again, "Summoning Jutsu: Silver!" A puff of smoke revealed a large flaming bird of white flames. "Wow! I hadn't seen Silver sense she was just a baby!" Naruto reminisced. "I'll take the air, you take the ground... distract him," I simply put. "Yeah, sure, but what about you?" Naruto questioned as I mounted my phoenix. I just smirked, "I'll be fine, you'll see." And I took off into the sky.

Gumabunta wasted no time in attacking with his sword as I flew above them, looking for an opening to try and land on Shukaku. Once they landed, and Gumabunta's sword went flying, Gaara came out of the head of Shukaku. "Gaara!" I cried out. Unfortunately he didn't hear me. With that, I swooped in low as I then hopped off Silver's back and landed gracefully on Shukaku's back just as Gaara activated, "Spell of fake sleep!"

Shukaku was then released as the demon shouted joyfully with, "I'm finally free!" He then attacked Gumabunta, while he sent sand clones of Gaara to hold me off, also trying to capture me with his sand. But every time I was approached by sand a simple flick of my wrists and the sand would freeze or be dismantled.

Before long Gumabunta had transformed into the nine-tails so Naruto could get to Gaara as they advanced. Just before Gumabunta could take hold of Shukaku to get Naruto close, I finally made it to Gaara, hugging him from behind, "Please wake up, Gaara! Please stop this!"

The next thing I knew, their plan was thrown into action as Gumabunta took hold of Shukaku, and Naruto punched Gaara hard in the face, waking up the red head. Naruto then lunged again, but was he being pursued by Gaara's sand as it tried to bury him and shred him, as it also came for me. I reached out my hand quickly as I stopped the flow of sand within Naruto's range as the sand came after me. Gaara turned around to find me, shock full in his eyes. "Why?!" He demanded.

I growled, "Because he's my bother... he's all I have left! And I'll make sure hell freezes over before you or anyone else lands a hand on him to try and kill him... because you're going to have to kill me first!" There were tears in my eyes, but I was not letting Naruto die as the sand kept surrounding me. "Holota!" It was Naruto... and he was using the nine-tail's chakra to move. He caught Gaara's attention as he tried to attack him once more, but Naruto head-butted him to where I knew it drew blood. And now Shukaku's stature was crumbling as I began to fall.
