Dreams and Loving but Dorky Brother

It was now late afternoon, almost into the evening hours, and I had yet to find Naruto. I had tried communicating with him but he had blocked my concerned thoughts trying to reach his own. I was guessing he was more upset than he usually was. I sat on one of the many roofs of the market place and stretched my senses out. Many people had come and gone and had yet to realize I had been 'watching' them. I finally gave up on trying to find my brother here and decided to look in our secret hiding spot.

Jumping down swiftly, I walked leisurely through the crowded streets, making sure I didn't miss my brother by accident. But still with no leads, I walked on calmly as if I were heading to the Uchiha compound. Where I was heading was just a little ways away from there, the path to get there was actually behind the Uchiha's main estate. Hopefully, the young Uchiha wouldn't be out at this time.

Before I could get to the compound perimeters, I made a left turn and headed down a path not many seemed to remember. It was funny, I had, had a dream about the path I was on now when I was younger. It was about a girl who looked much like I did, but she was being picked and bullied on... just as bad as Naruto had been. She had come to this place to get away from it all, to a certain place to where this path would lead. I had led Naruto to this place when I was younger, and we had found comfort in it ever sense. I found more in it than Naruto had, seeing as this place meant a little more to me.

The season was early spring, so I knew that the cherry blossoms around me would just beginning to bud. I'd call them Sakura trees, but the name didn't serve it justice after I had come to see what the pink Haruno had become. She was actually very sweet at one point when she was younger... but after, 'falling in "love" with Sasuke', she had become something other than what her name originally portrayed.

The path had become over grown with grass and weeds, but I had known the way to my destination by heart. Walking gracefully I made sure to read the vibrations within the air and ground. I was almost there before I heard a soft thud on a tree branch. I acted as if nothing had changed as if I were still alone. I waited as the wind picked up and blew towards me...

Seriously?! Stalker much? Yep, it was that icy mint smell I had come to despise. We could all guess who it was by now. Guess luck was not on my side today. I stopped for a mere moment before I stepped off so quick, you couldn't even see me.

The Fourth Hokage's Yellow Flash technique had inspired me when I was younger. No one had the slightest idea of how he could flash from one place to another, but it made me determined to become faster than the Fourth Hokage... not that anyone but Kisuka knew of this goal. I had actually taught myself how to make myself go faster by enhancing my leg muscles with chakra, but also using a lightning base chakra to give my body the power it needed. Let's just say it's a little complicated to explain. After making a few alterations to my body with my medical ninjustu, I was able to get to the point where my body could keep up with the lightning speed without spending too much energy.

By now I 'Quick Stepped' up in front of the Uchiha and kicked him into the tree, making sure my foot was on his throat, holding him there, "Why are you following me, Uchiha?" He struggled for a moment, before he answered, "I saw someone in the distance, I didn't know it was you," He replied almost out of breath. "You've been following me for a few minutes now, but you haven't turned around and gone home. Why?" I growled, "Can you just ever leave me alone?" He struggled a little more before I retreated my foot and he fell to the branch below our feet and caught his breath.

"I thought you were looking for your pathetic brother of yours," he snapped. He really doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut. "If you would have kept your hands off and minded your own business earlier, I wouldn't be looking for him now," I hissed. He was quiet for another moment before he spoke up a little calmer this time, "How did you know it was me? And how did you know where I was?" I turned as if I was leaving but turned my head back a little bit towards him so he could hear me, "Your stealth is sloppy, I hear every step you made, every leap you took. It's the way you walk." He must have been shocked by this, but I didn't give him a second thought as I walked out to the end of the branch, "Oh, and, Uchiha," I got his attention, "Watch your step."
