A few weeks later, after loads of Kisuka's lessons, boring in village missions with Team Kakashi, and beginning to work at the hospital a little more than usual, I was headed to met up with the Hokage in the distribution room, before he would be assigning more missions for the day. He had sent Team Kakashi to track down a cat named Tora, to return it to a over clingy owner, but I was here after training with Kisuka for the morning.

After overcoming the initial shock of losing my sight completely, I had accepted the fact that I was never going to see again, and there was nothing anyone could do. It only meant I could move forward and would push myself even further to make my dream come true. I would not let to loss of sight become an excuse.

"You needed to speak with me, sir?" I asked, standing before the Hokage and the others who helped him distribute missions. "Yes. It seems we've found you a donor, and their paying for your operation in full," He replied. It took me a moment to process this, before I literally could have fainted from shock and pure joy. "Really?!" The room busted out into chuckles and light hearted laughter as the Hokage spoke up again with a smile, "Yes, really. Your surgery is tomorrow morning." I literally squealed in joy, trying to muffle it with my hands. At that point Team Kakashi had walked in.

"What's going on?" Kakashi asked as he held a fur ball in his arms. "Yeah, why are you making noises like Sakura? You don't like Sasuke do you?" Naruto go serious for a moment. I turned so quickly and took Naruto's hands (ignoring the liking Uchiha comment), which had apparently been scratched, "I have a donor!" He had also took him awhile to process before he bust out a smile, "So, you're getting your sight back?!" I just nodded, too ecstatic for words.

Sakura suddenly squealed for me in joy, "That's great!" I could feel the smirk coming from Uchiha. "So I guess this means you'll be out for awhile?" Kakashi asked. "Maybe about a month or so, just depending on how the operation goes and how quick the eyes adapt to my body," I answered, "but there should be no problems."

It was then that I felt cold liquid hit the top of my hands... "Naruto? Why are you crying?" He sniffled as he smiled still, "They're happy tears. You're going to be able to see me again after six years... All of us. And you'll actually be able to watch me become Hokage like what you wished. I mean, I know you can see better than anyone in the village now, but the fact that you're actually going to get to really see me again!" I couldn't help but just hug my brother.

This was all I could have hoped for and was all I could really ever dream of. Whoever's eyes I was receiving, I was going to put them to good use and never take them for granted. That was a promise. I then paused... "Who's cat?"

Not too long after Tora got returned to... it's owner, Naruto begged for a better mission. And after complaining so much, the Hokage gave them one... a C rank to be exact. They would go on a higher ranking mission while I was out getting my new vision.

After meeting Tazuna, a grumpy old man that Team Kakashi would be escorting to the Land of Waves, I told Naruto I would meet them at the gates in an hour to 'see' them off. With that, I ran on my ecstatic energy all the way to the hospital to be prepped about the upcoming procedure.

I was hoping to meet the person who would be graciously be giving me the precious gift, but the patient's wish was to remain anonymous. This was the wish of many donors, for the simple fact of doing the deed out of the intention of their heart instead of earning praise from the public. So I didn't press the matter any further.

Shortly after discussing what exactly would happen during the scheduled surgery, like I didn't know already, I left the hospital and waited at the front gates. I found everyone there but Naruto. Knowing that it was lunch time, he had probably stopped by Ichiraku.
