*First person pov*
3 years later...
It's been three years... three years since I was thrown into this world. I miss my parents and my sister... Who wouldn't? But I'll keep trying my best and maybe find a way back home... But I probably won't just yet, I want to lead humanity into victory over the titans. Eren and Jean still don't get along, me and Mikasa always have to stop our brothers. I swear, me and Jean's relationship is so similar to Eren and Mikasa's relationship. I mean, me and Mikasa are both adopted and Jean and Eren are helpless and we have to save them. And that's how Mikasa is my best friend. We would always rant about our brothers every day before bed. Armin and I would always talk about the outside world, though, I would always correct him. It may had changed the anime, but it's so cringy hearing him talk about that is scientifically incorrect. Sea of flames? Pfft, that's a Volcano or magma. Anyways, I get along with everyone just fine. Annie and Ymir still hate me for some reason... But I don't remember what I did to them. Is it my cheerful personality? Or is it my optimism? Well whatever the reason, it's their opinion about me and I respect their opinions. Anyways... the Battle of Trost is right around the corner. I don't know what to do... I re-watched the episodes of attack on titan on the Battle of Trost... But what can I do? With me here, how many lives can I save? How many lives will die because of me? Also, what's going to happen to Mom? My home is in Trost as well as Jean's and Mom's. I hope she doesn't die.... I don't want her to die. "Basil, wake up." I heard Mikasa call. I yawn and opened my blue eye. I still haven't told anyone about my golden eye, never have and never will. After all, that eye is my get away from everything. Do you think I'll sacrifice that? Pfft, no. "C'mon, get out of bed." Mikasa said as she dragged me out of bed. "Alright... Alright... I'm up." I said as I stood up and brushed the invisible dust off of my night clothes. I grabbed my eye patch and slipped it over my eye. "Do you need help with the straps again?" Mikasa asked me. I still can't get those cursed straps on my body, it hates me. "Yes please mom." I said cheerfully. I get dressed and turned to Mikasa with my arms out. "Dress me mommy!" I shout and Mikasa rolls her eyes. She dresses me and we head out. It was raining, so we had our cloaks on. We walk to the training grounds and waited with the other trainees that were there. "It's cold..." I mumble to myself. Shadis arrives on a horse. "GOOD FUCKING MORNING SHITHEADS!!! WE'RE GOING TO RUN WITH OUR SUPPLIES TODAY!!! YOU SLOBS NEED TO LEARN TO RUN WITHOUT YOUR HORSE!!!" Shadis yells. Some commanders came with a wagon full of backpacks of supplies. We grab one backpack and put on our 3DMG. "Of! It's heavy!" I said as I almost fell backwards on my bottom. We have done this training before, but I always underestimate the weight. "START RUNNING YOU FAGGOTS!!" Shadis yells and we started to run. I was up front with all the well fit people. Shadis we were running 12 miles today, breaks every 3 miles. It's reasonable too, so I'm not complaining. It's the people who are not so fit are. Especially Armin. He was in the very back. He is still keeping up, since this was only the beginning. I realized I was only jogging, almost running while the other people were full on running. Man, these people aren't fit at all. Maybe because this is in back in the days where people are so weak? Or maybe because I'm from a different world different from this one? Is that why I did so well using the first time using the 3DMG? Well, I did ride a lot of roller coasters back in my days so going that fast wasn't that big of a deal... After a while of running, hitting the 1 and a half mile mark, Armin started to fall behind. "WHAT'S WRONG ALERT!? YOU'RE FALLING BEHIND!!" Shadis yells as he slows down so his horse can match his pace. Armin was breathing heavily, I could hear it all the way up front. "IS IT TOO HARD FOR YOU!? DO YOU WANT TO BE THE ONLY ONE WHO PUTS DOWN HIS EQUIPMENT!? IF THIS WAS A REAL MISSION, YOU WOULD BE TITAN FOOD ALREADY!!" And with that, Shadis rode back up where the rest of the people were. The rain was beating down on us. Alright, should I go back and help Armin? Actually, Reiner has this, he'll be fine. Reiner grabs Armin's supplies and they talk a bit. Reiner runs little ways ahead of Armin. Armin narrows his tired eyes and runs faster. He grabs the equipment off of Reiner's back and ran all the way up front. "Woohoo!! Go Armin!!" I holler as I run next to Armin. We hit the 2 1/2 mile mark and Armin was slowly falling back behind. The rain had stopped, but it was still muddy and wet. I grabbed Armins are and pulled him back up to the front. "Hey! Don't give up yet! We're almost there! Just a few more meters! You can do this Armin!" I cheer on as I drag him along. He was breathing heavily and tripping on his own feet. Lets see here... What can I do to make him motivated? "Armin! I can tell you more about the outside world if you keep running!" I told him. His tired eyes was suddenly filled with determination. He shrugged my arm away and ran all the way to the front, despite the fact he was tired and breathing heavily. I smile at his determination and kept running. "ALRIGHT SHITHEADS!!! IT'S BREAK TIME!!!" Shadis yells. Most of the trainees collapse, except for some right like me. I wipe beads of sweat off my forehead, my face flushed because I was tired. I sat down leaning on the tree. I see Armin, who was collapsed on the ground, crawled towards me. "You........ Promised....... Me....... That......... You..... Will........ Tell me...... About..... The....... Outside........ World....." Armin breathes heavily. I smile, and patted the ground next to me for him to sit down. "Now, I believe you're eager to know more about the ocean, correct?" I asked him and he nodded. "Weather.... I want know about the weather..." Armin said as he gets his water sack and drank it. "The weather huh.... The ocean has weather that we don't have here in the walls." I explain to him and his eyes sparkle. "It's very strange weather. At first in the morning, if might sunny and hot, then 3 hours later it would be the worst storms you will ever see! But if there were locals there, it would be normal weather to them." I explain to him. "Really?! Is the weather that bad?" Armin asked me. I nod as I mess around with my eye patch. "Yeah. The worst weather that they can have are hurricanes." I said as I picked up a stick. "Hurry-cane?" Armin said, tilting his head to the side. "No, it's hurricane. Hurricanes forms over water, so it's kinda rare for it to strike land. Hurricanes are swirling storms that can have winds up to 74 miles per hour." I explain. Do you think I know all of this? No, I'm looking up all this on my phone and reading it out loud. "74 miles!?" Armin shouts, gasping. "Yeah. They look a little like this." I said as I used the stick I picked up earlier and drew stuff on the ground. "Here's the world," I said drawing a circle on the ground. "Umm, Basil, I think you're mistaken. The world's flat, not round." Armin said, taking the stick from my hands and drew a rectangle. I groaned and looked up why the world is not flat and then explained it to Armin. "I see.... But how can you prove this?" Armin asked me. "How do I know so much about the world?" I asked annoyed. Armin stayed silent. "Exactly. Now let me finish about hurricanes." I said as I grabbed the stick off the ground. I drew a hurricane on the world I drew. I drew a circle in the middle of the hurricane. "This is the eye of the hurricane, the weakest part of the storm. I'm not sure, I'm guessing at this point, that if you threw a nuke of some sort down in the eye, it might be destroyed. But, there is no way we can do that unless we can fly." I said, poking the eye. "That's so cool...." Armin mumbles as he concentrates on the picture of the hurricane I drew. "ALRIGHT SHITHEADS!!! BREAK'S OVER!!! GET YOUR ASSES MOVING!!!" Shadis yells as he mounts his horse. Armin sighs and I grabbed his shoulder. "I'll tell you about the ocean life that dwells in the ocean if you keep up!" I said, trying to wink at him but it just looked like I gave him a closed eyed smile. This is one of the reasons I hate this eye patch, I can't wink. "Yeah!" Armin said and we got up and ran. So that's my day, we ran a lot and talked about how amazing the outside world is.
