Chapter 18

*First person pov*

We were all in town, we were heading to the walls to cleans the canons since we were still considered as 'trainees'. We graduated yesterday! Anyways, the Survey Corps were leaving to go outside. I was hanging with Jean, in the crowd. "Basil!!! I won't let you go into the Survey Corps!" Jean yells as he bonks me on the head. "Owwie! I'm going no matter what!! You're not my mother!" I said, sticking my tongue at him. "Yeah, but I'm your brother!!" Jean said, glaring at me. "They're here!!! The main force of the Survey Corps are here!!!" "Commander Erwin!!!" "Kick their titan asses for me!!" People cheered. Me and Jean looked to the crowd and there they were. Hanji, Erwin, Levi, Petra, Oulo, Gunther, Erd, Mike, and some other people I don't know. "Look!! There's Captain Levi!! They say he alone counts for a full unit!!!" Someone yelled. "Huh? That's the greatest Levi? He's short." Jean whispered in my ear. I giggle and pulled out my handkerchief and stuffed it into my shirt. "Tch, I'm Levi. Look how awesome I am." I said out loud, as I shook my ass up in the air. "I drink black tea and tch all the time!! Tch, tch, tch, tch, tch!!" I said as I did the chicken dance. "O-Oi Basil!! Captain Levi is looking at us! You're too loud!!" Jean whispered shouts. I turn back to Levi and he was full on glaring at us. "I don't care!! He can beat the crap out of me, but he can't do anything about respect tch!! Look how above I am over you peasants!! Tch, bow to me!!!" I said as I point to the floor. "Wha-" I cut off Jean by kicking him in the balls. He groans and falls to the ground clutching his crotch. "Don't disobey me!!! Because I, Captain Levi will mow your ass like grass!!" I shout, and people looked at me. Levi's glare gets harsher and he stops his horse and rides over to me. Okay... I'm dumb. I haven't thought this through. "Well hello there sir!" I said as I step on Jean. "Brat, if you have something to say then say it to my face." Levi hisses at me, but I just continue smiling. "Ca-Captain!!" Petra shouts from the platoon. The platoon stops so they can wait for Levi. "I guess you can say my respect for you is non existent, like your height." I said, smiling still. Hanji starts laughing hysterically, while everyone here mouth's drop at my comment. Oh my god, Levi's glare. Nothing could describe how killer it is. "Brat, you're entering dangerous levels." Levi said. "Danger is my middle name, sir. If you're that angry, fight me mate. But I doubt you can get down from that horse, if you jump down from that height sir, you'll break your legs." I said. WTF AM I DOING!?!?! I'M GOING TO DIE!!! Hanji's laughter gets louder and the crowd's eyes get wider. Jean shoves me off of him and salutes Levi. "Sir, please forgive my sister! She has problems that she can't help!!! Forgive her!" Jean yelled. "I do not have-" "Please forgive her!" Jean cuts me off and pushed my head down, making me bow. "Tch, stupid brats." Levi said and he rode away. "Problems? I am insulted Jean!" I yelled, crossing my arms and looked away. "What!? I just saved your ass!!!" Jean yelled. I stuck my tongue out at him. "Maybe I didn't want my ass saving." I said, hmphing. Jean pulled out his pocket watch and sighed. "We have to head to walls right now. What duty do you have?" Jean asked me. "Cleaning the canons in the front." I said. "Too bad, I have the west side." Jean said, rubbing the back of his head. "Well, I'll see you later then." I said, running off to the place I was supposed to clean the cannons. I climb up onto the walls using my 3DMG. I spotted Eren, Connie, Sasha, Mina, Thomas, and Samuel. "Hey guys!" I said as I run up to them. "Basil! That was insane, what you said to Captain Levi!!" Eren said as he put a hand on my shoulder. "Oh yeah, I wet myself but it's all good." I said as I start cleaning the canons. "So, where are you guys going?" Eren asked as he cleans his canon. "I'm going to enlist the Survey Corps." Connie announced. "What? You enlisted in the Survey Corps!? Connie!! You were going on about joining the Military Police!!" Eren shouts as he loads the canons, for some reason. Actually, we all were loading the canons. "Yeah I know. But..." Connie trails off. "It seems like he was listening to you and Basil's lecture yesterday." Mina said, walking over here from her canon. "Shut up!! This is my own decision!!" Connie yelled, as he turned to us blushing a little. "Don't be so shy about it." Thomas said as he walked over here from his canon. "You're not the only one." Thomas said as he blushed and scratched his cheek. "Thomas... Are you serious?" Eren trailed off. "Aw, you two are too cute, blushing like that." I teased them. "You see! This is why I didn't want to admit it!!" Connie yelled, pointing at me. "So you admit you were listening to our lecture?" I said, smirking. "I- Er- Agh! Screw you!" Connie yelled blushing as he turned to clean his canon, leaving me laughing. "Um, guys..." I heard a voice said. I turned to see Sasha. "I borrowed some meat from the officer's morning rations." Sasha said, revealing some meat behind her cropped jacket. Everyone's faces go pale while I drool. Aww... To bad the Colossal Titan had to ruin this... "Sasha... You wanna get solitary confinement!?" Eren said, lowering his voice. "Are you really an idiot!?" Samuel said. "Real idiocy's scary..." Connie trails off and I laugh lightly. "I like it!" I chirp. "Let's all split it all later. We'll slice it up and eat it with bread! Eheheh." Sasha said as she did that laugh thing. "Bring it back!!" Connie yelled. "Yeah!! Meat is a luxury now that we've lost so much land!" Mina agreed. "Don't worry about it! Don't worry about it!" I said as I run over to the meat, admiring it. "Yeah, don't worry about it! Once we retake the land, we'll keep the cows and pigs again." Sasha said as she walked around me and put the meat in the box. "Yeah! For now, let's enjoy this meat! I'll have a serving!" I said cheerfully. Everyone stayed silent. "I'll take that meat!" Samuel announced. "Me too, so save my part!!" Connie yelled. "That goes for me too!" Mina said as well. "Guys..." Eren trailed off. "What do you say Eren? They'll find us out if we don't get back to work." Samuel said as he got back to work. "It's still a while before lunch." Mina said as she walked away to her canon. I walked away, but keeping my eyes out outside the wall. I looked back at Eren, who was staring at the town. The Colossal Titan should be arriving right around now.... When he does, I'll be the one to cut out that titan shifter inside!!! I thought determinedly as I gripped my blades. A few moments later.... a flash of lightning appeared behind the wall, revealing the key to the horror that will happen.
