Chapter 21

*First person pov*

     I was put on a different team, none of my friends were on it. But, it had Franz and Hannah, the lovers. "Alright! I'm going to kick those titan's butt!" Some guy yelled on my team, I think his name was Nico. "Don't get so cocky. I'll do it for you, you can just sit back and relax." A girl said, her name was......... Donna, I think. "Then let us all settle it. In a few hours, we go our separate ways and kill all the titans that come our way. We'll count it up all at the end and see who has the most. Whoever has the most gets lunch from all of us." Some guy said, I completely forgot his name. "That sounds like a good idea!" Hannah said, smiling. "I'm going to beat you." Franz said to Hannah. "Bring it." Oooo, a competitive couple, eh? Wait!! I shouldn't be thinking about this!! "Hey!! We need to work together!!" I said, but they were already off. "Oh crap!! They're going to die if I don't stop them!" I said to myself as I decide who I should go after. "Uh... Franz!" I said as I hooked after him. He did die, and I want to prevent it. "Franz!" I yelled when I spotted him. He didn't hear me, but there was a titan. It had a stupid grin on it's face when it spotted Franz. Franz smirked and went for the titan. "FRANZ NO!!!" I yelled, but it was too late. The titan caught him in it's hands. It squeezes the life out of Franz. I zipped to him, I could only hear the gurgle sounds coming out of his mouth. I saw a pool of blood come out of Franz's mouth and my visible eye widened. I land on the roof as I watch Franz. He was squeezed to death, his insides crushed. The titan smiled and brought Franz closer to it's mouth. I tried to stand up but I was shaking and wobbled back down. Why can't I move...? Why am I just watching... my teammate die in front of me... The titan opened it's mouth and chomped down on Franz, below the waist. His top half falls to the floor. Why... why am I just letting this happen...? Tears stream out of my visible eye while my eye patch got damp from tears. I stared at Franz's body, choking up. Why... Why did I think I understood Eren...? Why did I think... I understood the horror of titans...? I'm so stupid..... The titan went to pick up what's left of Franz's body to eat him. I clench my teeth and glared at the titan with my tear filled eyes. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!!! PUT HIM BACK DOWN!!!" I yelled and the titan flinched. But, it didn't do what I said. I gripped my handles and stood up, my veins fueled with anger and hatred. "You bastard..." I said as I hooked onto the titan. I clicked on the gas and flew to the neck. "GRAAAAAAAAHHH!!!" I yelled as I killed the titan. The titan falls, the grip on what's left of Franz's body falls to the floor. I kept stabbing the neck. "You bastard!! DIE!! DIE!! DIE!!!" I yelled as I kept stabbing the neck, tears falling on the exposed wound. I fall on my knees and bawled. "Mom... Dad... Alice... PLEASE TAKE ME AWAY FROM THIS HELL!!! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!" I bawled as I try to muffle them with my hand. I'm so useless... I couldn't save Franz.... I'm so weak.... I couldn't move... I could have saved him if I just moved! I got off the titan, since it was nearly gone. I walked over to Franz. His eyes were wide open, the same fear etched on his face when he died. I crouched down, trying not to gag at the smell or the exposed insides. "I'm so sorry..." I said as I closed his eyes. "Franz!! Franz, where are you!!" I heard a person yell. Hannah. Oh god, I can't face her. I hid in a alleyway and watched her. "Franz, where are- F-Fran....z?" Hannah found his body. "Franz!! What happened to you!? I-I'll help you!! D-Don't worry!!!" Hannah yelled as she performed CPR. Oh god, I can't watch anymore. I walked away from the scene. I saw other titans nearby. They looked at me, then walked off. "...What are you doing...? I'm a human, why don't you eat me...?" I asked a titan. The titan wasn't even paying attention, it was just searching the windows of the house. "Hey... why do you all ignore me...?" I asked it. It still ignored me. "Why... Why am I the only one..... Why am I the only one? Why can't I just be equal like the rest.... Why can't you just eat me like you do with other humans...? What makes me so special...?" I asked it. It finally turned to me and sat down. It grabbed me and set me in it's lap. It took out my hairband and took my hair. It started to braid my hair. I wanted to slap it's dirty hands away and kill it, but maybe I'm just to broken inside. "What... Why...." I said as covered my eyes, trying to keep my tears in. But of course, I failed. The titan finished braiding my hair and tied it on. It smiled at me then got up and walked away from me. I just sat on the ground. I saw a 15 meter walking by. "Hey... Hey!! Can you please eat me...? Like the rest of them...?" I asked it. It looked at me and shook it's head and went on it's way. "WHY DO I GET THE SPECIAL TREATMENT!?!? JUST TREAT ME LIKE THE REST OF THEM!!! IT ISN'T FAIR TO THEM!!! AM I SUPPOSED TO FEEL LUCKY!?!? BULLSHIT!!! THIS JUST MAKES ME FEEL WORSE!!" I yelled as I cried again. I got up and ran, crying. I came across those titan cough balls. Titans don't have a digestive system, so they just throw up the humans they eat. All the bodies were staring at me, all of those lifeless eyes. "Why... Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked all of them. "S-Stop it!!! It's not my fault!!! I didn't want this power!!! What's up with those looks!?! Just leave me alone!!" I yelled as I ran away again. I find an alleyway and just sat down in it. Just leave me alone.... let me get away from everything.... I wasn't prepared for this.... Help me...
