*First person pov*

"YOU THERE!!" Shadis yells at Armin. He gotten halfway through quarter of the trainees, you can tell because Shadis turned all of the around. He hasn't gotten to Jean and me, but he's getting there. "Yessir!!" Armin yells, bringing his right arm up to salute. Man, Shadis is scary. "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!?!?" Shadis yells back. "I'm Armin Alert, Sir! I'm from Shiganshina, Sir!!" Armin answers. "SURE YOU ARE!! GOOD NAME FOR A RETARD!!! YOUR PARENTS CALL YOU THAT!?!?" Shadis yelled. "My Grandfather, Sir!!!" Armin answers back. "ALERT!!! WHY ARE YOU HERE!?!?" Shadis asks, bending down to Armin's level. "To contribute to mankind's victory, Sir!!" Armin yells, closing his eyes, probably uncomfortable from Shadis's closeness. "FUCKING SPLENDID!!! YOU'LL MAKE FINE TITAN FEED!! LINE THREE!! ABOUT TURN!!!" Shadis yells, turning Armin around by the head. I sigh silently and softly as Shadis yells at more people. It scared me when I realized Shadis was right in front of Jean. "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!?" Shadis yells in Jean's face. "I'm Jean Kirstein, Sir!! I'm from the Trost, Sir!!" Jean answers, bringing his right arm to salute him. "WHY YOU HERE?!?!" Shadis yells. Jean looked like he hesitated for a moment before answering. "To join the Military Police and live in the interior, Sir." Jean answered calmly. I see sweat beads form on his face. "Oh? So you want to live in the interior?" Shadis asked, surprisingly not yelling. Jean smiles, thinking that he got on Shadis's good side. "Yessir!!" Jean answers. Shadis headbutts Jean and Jean falls to his knees, holding his head in pain. "YOU TAKING A SHIT DOWN THERE?!? YOU THINK YOU CAN JOIN THE MILITARY POLICE IF YOU CAN'T EVEN TAKE THAT?!?" Shadis yells then walking away. Oh god oh god oh god oh god!! He's coming over here!!! What do I do?!?! I decided to not break eye contact and be tough as possible. "AND WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!?" Shadis yells in my face. "Basillisk Andrea, Sir. From the Shiganshina District, Wall Maria, Sir." I answered calmly as possible. "WHY ARE YOU HERE CYCLOPS?!?" Shadis yells and I glare at him. "To take down titans so the future generation can live in peace and harmony, without the fear of being eaten, or die trying, Sir." I said calmly, but I added a little venom to sir. "YOU THINK YOU CAN TAKE DOWN THE TITANS WITH NO VISION ON THE RIGHT SIDE!?!? LET ALONE A FEMALE?! I BET YOU ARE NO BETTER THAN MILITARY POLICE GUY BESIDE YOU!! LOOK!! HE'S STILL HOLDING HIS HEAD!!!" Shadis yells in my face, getting spit on my face, but I did not falter. "With all due respect, Sir, but try me. Headbutt me as hard as you can and see what happens, Sir." I challenge, my glare or eye contact on him not faltering. Wtf am I doing?!? I think as Shadis beings his head back. He headbutts me but surprisingly, I did not flinch, falter eye contact, move, hell, even my FACIAL EXPRESSION didn't move. I was like a statue. I felt a burning pain on my head and a warm liquid falling onto my face and down onto my nose. It hurt so much, but I will not falter. I refuse to. "With all due respect Sir, you should not judge a book by it's cover. Bad things can happen, Sir." I said as Shadis pulls away. There was a little bit of blood on his forehead. He pulls out a handkercheif and wipes it off. He looks at me. "I like you. People say I have no taste but I like you." Shadis said calmly. "Yessir." I said as I turn around. All the trainees had shock written all over their faces. I look at all the higher ups and they had respect in their eyes. I look over at Eren for no reason. His turquoise eyes were widened in shock, well, all the trainees were in shock. I heard Shais go yell at Marco. I sigh to myself. I can't do anything about the wound, I have to remain frozen. I see that Shadis spotted Sasha eating the potato. I tried not to laugh when I saw Sasha gave him like a quarter of the potato.

Time skip~

"YOU ARE ALL DISMISSED!!!" Shadis yells. I sigh I touch my bandaged forehead. It was after training, and we were dismissed for dinner and the day. Everyone asked me if I was okay and complimented my guts that I can go against Shadis. I see two familiar people walk up to me. "Um... Basilisk right? My name is Armin Alert and this is Eren Jeager." Armin introduces himself and Eren. I smile warmly at them. "Nice to meet you Armin, Eren. But please, call me Basil for short, it feels awkward when you say my full first name." I said, smiling. "Do you want to join our friends for dinner?" Eren asked. I thought about Jean for a second, but he'll be fine, he got Marco. "Sure... Say... You two, are also from Shinganshina... Right?" I asked them as we walked. "Yeah... We heard that you're from there as well...." Eren said, looking down. I stayed silent for a moment. "I'm... Guessing your family members didn't make it either..." I said. "Um... I don't think we should be talking about this..." Armin said as he looks at Eren. "No... It's fine Armin... Basil, my mother got eaten alive right in front of me... And there was nothing I could have stopped it..." Eren said, bawling his fists. "Oh... I guess we are the same then. I saw my whole family die right in front of me.... And like you, I couldn't do anything... My little sister... She was only five... To be ripped apart like that... Why was I spared? I want my sister to be here instead of me..." I lied, looking up at the sky. It would be true though, my sister would be five at the time during the fall of Wall Maria, while I would be nine. Eren and Armin looked at each other. "I'm sorry..." Armin apologizes. Eren bawls his fists again. "I swear... Those titans just cause pain for everyone... I swear, I'll kill them all." Eren said, I could literally see the flames in his eyes. I chuckle. "At least save some for me..." I said. We walk back in silence, probably because we made each other depressed. "But, I don't like talking like this, neither would my family would. Revenge isn't my style, really, I just want to prevent what happen to me repeat, no one should experience what we did." I said as we walk. "It won't. Not as long I'm here." Eren said, bawling his fists. "You know, I like you already. You have the motivation, one of the few keys to victory. I know you won't die in vain, or die an early death." I said as I keep walking. Eren blushes and looks away. "You think?" Eren asked me. "Yeah! I admire you already." I said as I spot a rock on the ground and started to kick as I walk, since I'm bored. "Hey... I heard you are going to join the Survey Corps." Eren brought up. "Hm? Yeah, what about it?" I asked him as I kicked the rock again. "I hope we survive, no, we'll definitely survive and see the outside world?" Eren asked me. I smile brightly at him. "Yeah."
