Chapter 31

*First person pov*

I wake up, looking around groggily. I wasn't in my room back in the trainee camps, but it's not like I care. Just snuggle back into my pillow, wrapping my arms around a waist. Wait... waist? "AGH!! WHAT THE HELL!" I yelled as I fell out of the bed. I land on hard wet floor, the chains on my arms jingling. "Chains...?" I question myself as I messed around with them. I looked up to see I was in a cell. "What the hell is this?" I asked myself as I stood up. I looked who's on the bed cautiously, and it was Eren. Why am I here with Eren...? I'm not a titan shifter... I look outside the cell to see a guard. "Excuse me, Sir! Can you tell me why I'm in here?" I asked him. "Shut the hell up, you witch. I'll come in there and disable you from doing anything if I have too." The guard growled, still faced forward. Witch? I walked back to the bed and sat down. There's nothing I can do... So I'll just go back to sleep... I closed my eyes. Wait... where's my eye patch!? I looked around and saw my eye patch on the floor. I grabbed it and tied it around my head. Whew... I lie back down on the bed, next to Eren, ready to fall asleep. Until, I heard a door open and close. Footsteps were to be heard, and stopped right in front of our cell. Nevermind... I get up and looked at who was our visitors. It was Commander Erwin and... oh god no. "OH GOD IT'S THE DEVIL SPAWN!!!" I yelled as I jumped off the bed, diving under it, peering out from below. I see Levi's eye twitch and Erwin coughs. "Cadet Andrea, correct? Can you wake up Cadet Jeager?" Erwin asked kindly. "Um.... I will if you would answer my questions." I said, staring at Erwin, well, more like his eyebrows. "We don't have to answer your questions, brat. Just wake up the little shit on the bed." Levi growled at me. "Scary!" I said as I scurried back under the bed like a hermit crab. "What are your questions?" Erwin asked me. "Um... I can understand why Eren's here but why am I here, Sir?" I asked Erwin shyly. "Cadets have reported that the titans payed no attention to you when you dropped down from the wall on the decoy mission. They say that a 15 meter titan caught you when you fell down the wall and threw you as a boost to the gates of the inner wall, to where the Armored titan was heading. You commanded the Armored titan to stop, and kill itself. But we've came to the conclusion that the Armored Titan and the Colossal Titan are titan shifters, and the titan shifter in the Armored titan was absent, so the titan shifter is still out there. You are here because of a trial that's going to be held on who's going to get custody of you, and Cadet Jeager." Erwin explained. "Okay.... My next question is how tall is Levi?" I asked Erwin. "You piece of shit." Levi hissed at me. "What? I'm curious, since I didn't get to see how tall you were when we first met." I pointed out. "He's 5'3." Erwin answered and Levi clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Cool, cool.... Didn't know Levi was that short, but okay. Next question, are those caterpillars resting above your eyelids, or are those actually eyebrows?" I asked Erwin. "Excuse me?" Erwin asked and Levi had amusement in his eyes. "You're excused, Sir. But this is a serious question, are those caterpillars or eyebrows?" I asked him again. He rubbed his temples in annoyance. "It's eyebrows." Erwin said, annoyed. I snickered, thinking up the best question ever to ask him. "Okay, okay.... Last question, if you were to allow me, could I try and see if I can braid your eyebrows? I mean, they look bushy and long enough for it to work..." I said in deep thought. Levi snorts in amusement and an anime tick mark appears on Erwin's head. "I answered all your questions, now will you wake up Jeager already?" Erwin said, almost yelled. I nod frantically and got up on the bed and started shaking Eren awake. "Mm... Five more minutes..." Eren said as he turned on his side. I slap him on the face lightly. "You can have your five minutes later! Right now, you gotta wake up!" I said as I slapped him again. He finally opens his eyes and sat up. "What are you doing, Basil..." Eren said as he rubbed his eyes and looked around. He just stares at the two superior Scout officers. "Any questions?" Erwin asked Eren. "U-Um... Where.... Are we?" Eren asked Erwin. "As you can see, it's an underground jail cell. The Military Police retained custody of you two. We only received permission to speak with you." Erwin explains. Eren tries to move but he realized he was chained down to the bed. Huh? I'm not chained down to the bed... maybe because I'm not a titan shifter? Erwin holds up Eren's key. "That key...." Eren trails off. "Yes. It's yours. You can have it back later. The basement of your house in Shingashina, Doctor Jeager's house, holds the answer to the mystery of the titans. Is that right?" Erwin asked. "Yes... I think so. That's what my father said." Eren answered. "You have amnesia, and your dad's missing, pretty fucking convenient." Levi said and I glare at him. "Levi. We've reached the conclusion that he has no reason to lie. There's still so much we don't know. But right now, we need to ask them what they want to do." Erwin said, turning back to us. "Us? You know, in the situation that we're in, do you think we can make choices?" I said as I mess with my eye patch. The ignored my second question. "To get to your house, Eren, we must retake Shinganshina and Wall Maria. The simplest and easiest way is to seal the shattered gate would be to use your titan powers. It's likely that titans will determine our fate. The Colossal Titan and The Armored Titan are the same, in principle, as you. Your decision is the key. The key that can save humanity from despair." Erwin said to Eren, holding up the key. "I... I am..?" Eren said, in deep thought. "Hey wait! Where the hell do I come in!? If that's the case, why the hell am I here!? Let me go! I want to go home!! I want to go back to Jean!!" I yelled as I lie on my stomach and kick my legs and wave my arms up in the air like a spoiled kid. "Tch, brat, shut the fuck up." Levi said, annoyed. "I was just getting to that, Andrea. Calm down. From what the Cadets have reported, you can control the titans, specifically titan shifters. Regular titans just ignore you it seems, or play with you, or help you. Using that, you will become the support to the key, by covering Jeager by controlling the surrounding titans and if Jeager loses control of the titan, you control him." Erwin explains and Eren looks at me in shock. "Control titans!? You can do that Basil!?" Eren shouts, in disbelief. "Ye-Yeah...." I said, rubbing the back of my head. "Now, what do you two want to do?"
