Hailey's P.O.V

Last night was one of the best nights of my life. But today's a bright new day, new choices to be made, new everything. The fairytale I was living in slowly came to end, and we both had to go back our separate ways. We stayed in his house last night, the house he stays in whenever he comes back here.

"You are one hell of a kisser, did I mention that before?" I said grabbing an apple from the kitchen, and stepping up on my tiptoes to give him a kiss.

"M-mhm" he hummed, I almost went up to slide open the door until he pushed me away from the door and pulled me closer to him placing a scarf around my neck. "You forgot your scarf princess."

"Yep, thanks little bro," I said patting him on the shoulder, "woah woah come back here," he grabbed my arm and jerked me back to him, leaving a few inches between us. "Little bro?" he smirked, "we made out all night yesterday remember?"

"Who could forget the taste of Alex Donovan's lips huh?" I said loosening his grip on my scarf, but he wouldn't let go. "Can I go now?" He pulled my scarf towards him till his lips met mine, and all the feelings came rushing in like a hurricane.

"You can go now," he gave me one last kiss and stopped me from going out the door. "Really?" I crossed my arms, waiting for a reply. "Really, let me be a gentleman!" He opened the door, and bowed down taking my hand.

I kissed him more passionately than ever, not letting go of him. "Man do I love you."

"Hey dad," I said as I took off my jacket and placed it on the couch. "Hey- uh so I have to tell you.. something."

"You're together now, I know that, and I'm happy for you." He murmured getting up and kissing my forehead.

"You are?"

"Of course I am, I can tell that you're in love, and keep holding on to him because it's pretty rare to see him happy," he explained, "ever since your mom died, he's been acting weird."

"Speaking of mom, did you know that by going to that path we break the spell that's been there all these years!?"

"And there's also another thing you should know, I don't know if you're gonna be happy or sad about this but-" his voice slowly trailed off. "It's okay, you can tell me," I replied. I wonder what else could happen, cuz this is so tiring. All I get to hear all day is about this "magical" path that can bring my mother back to life. That's messed up, but I'll stay optimistic.

"You get a chance to remove your powers, and the angel side of you will be gone," i gasped as the words fell to my ears, "forever," he reassured.

"Y-you mean I can be a-"

"You can be human Hailey, but you'll always have these powers with you forever, because you won't live a normal life," he continued, "your immortal."

"Honestly dad, best news I've heard since I was born. I get to live a normal life, but still be immortal." Best day ever, I can't believe I get to live normally, this is everything I've ever wanted.

"You can't have children though hailey," he laughs. "That may be the second thought that popped into my head but definitely not the first," I followed with the laughing, this was actually a pretty good day. Turns out having all your feelings heightened isn't that bad after all. It's a bummer that I can't have kids but meh, I'll live with it.

"You forgot the part about having to do the sacrifice though," he mumbled. "Seriously," I groaned, "way to ruin the moment dad."

"It'll be worth it in the end, I promise you, you'll have everything you want after you get your mother's powers."
