"Wait- did you say 'big day'?" I stopped and turned around to face him. "What's the date today?"

"July 17-"

"ITS MOMS BIRTHDAY!" I shouted clasping a hand to my mouth. "D-does that mean.. we're leaving.. today?"

I knew it was working, so I kept pushing harder and harder. If I give him some of my powers, maybe he could see her too.

"Alex, please," I cried, as anger took over him.

"What do you mean PLEASE?! You've been talking to her this whole time?!"

"You love me?" he smiled, his cheeks slightly blushing. "You really love me?"

I crashed my lips onto his, not wasting a second before I pulled him closer, lifting my hands up to his neck. He smiled against my lips only pulling me even closer.

"First stop, Vanessa." I smiled, grabbing onto Alex's arm.

"Let's go get that witch bitch."

I opened the gate, the wind sweeping my hair back. I curled a strand of my hair behind my ear, as Alex looked at me fearfully.

"Something wrong?" he asked, running a smooth hand through my hair.

I shook my head, and walked into the doorway looking around the house that always ended up bringing back bad memories.

Alex knocked on the door a few times, whining with an expression of annoyance appearing on his face.

I continued looking around, ignoring the fact that the witch bitch didn't bother answering the door.

Flowers that were once bright in color, appeared dark this time. The lilacs and tulips that stood beautifully in the gardens, couldn't appear worse than they ever did. On this day I knew there were two outcomes. Either the whole thing collapses, or it ends up exactly as we've planned. At this point, I couldn't think of a middle section.

"VANESSA! Open the goddamn door!" Alex shouted, banging roughly against the front door.

He looked at me, anger flashing through his eyes. I leaned forward and wrapped my arms around his shoulder, waiting for that bitch to open the door.

Suddenly, she opened it. She looked at us disgustingly.

"What do you want?! You've been standing here for ten minutes just knocking like cra-"

I furrowed my eyebrows, looking at her angrily, a smirk running across my lips.

"Its July 17th and you have some work to do." I simply answered, a fake smile appearing on my lips. "I need that stupid spell so Alex can come with me remember? And I don't have much time so you better make it quick."

"Oh. Uh, come in.." she said nervously, sliding the door wide open.

She grabbed onto Alex's hand and she pushed us both back from each other.

"Why the hell are you with Alex?" she retorted. "Where's Michael?!"

I looked at her, and let out a long sigh. "Look. We broke up, it's a long story and I really don't have that time. So please just go find that spell while I go get Michael so you can do your thing." I took a hold of the door and walked outside.

"Wait!" Alex grabbed my hand, turning me around to face him. "You're going to him.. alone? Are you sure that's the best idea?"

"Don't worry," I smiled giving him a kiss on the cheek. "I'll be back in a few minutes, I can take care of myself."

---------

I knocked on the door of my house, secretly hoping that he wouldn't answer. But he did.

"Oh. Hey.. uh you've been staying here?" I smiled reluctantly.

He looked up at me, his eyes somehow enlightened. "You're the last person I would've expected to come here.. and yes I've been staying here, I hope you don't mind."

"N-no. Of course not, it's your house too."

He looked at me questionably, eying me from head to toe. His blonde hair swept over to the side of his face, he kept his steely blue eyes right on mine.

"Why are you here?" His asked with a deep husky voice.

"Because we're leaving today. I-I'm leaving today."

He raised his eyebrows, moving further out the door. "What do you mean. 'Leaving'?"

"I mean, it's my mom's birthday and the path is going to be open today and that's our only chance to go there and actually get in." I let out a sigh, and took a deep breath.

"That still didn't answer my question. Why are you here?" He replied sternly.

"I'm here because we need to do the spell with Vanessa. Or did you forget?"

"Fine. Let's go." He locked the door, and I kept walking straight. I raised my wings and flew high up into the sky, the strands of my hair turning silver again. I couldn't look back at him even though I knew that we were gonna have to talk eventually.

"Michael." I breathed out softly, keeping my eyes in front of me. "I can't keep doing this anymore, and neither can you. But at this point, I don't think I can forgive any longer.. this is my life and I want to enjoy it with the people I love the most. And that's why.. I want you to live your life. I want you to be happy, and your happiness means my happiness. Go find someone who'll love you the way I did, even though I know for a fact that no one will ever love you the way I did. But that spark that was there, faded the moment I knew about you're darkest secrets. So go live your life, and find the girl of your dreams. Because I want to live my life and know that you're there with someone who makes you happy, and I think that's the best for both of us."

"Okay?" I asked, landing down on the porch of Vanessa's house.

I felt a pit in my stomach as I waited for a reply. "Michael?" I said nervously turning around to face him.

"MICHAEL?!" I screamed, flying over to him.

He was laying on the floor, blood dripping from his chest. I laid my hand against his chest, furiously trying to draw the pain away with my powers but there was no use.

"STAY WITH ME!" I shouted at his now dead body. "N-no. NO!"

My head dropped down against his chest, tears flooding down my face. I was gripping his shirt tightly, listening to his last heartbeat.

"I-I'm sorry kitty." He whispered.

I stared at him blankly for a few seconds. And then it hit me.

"Kitty?"
