I woke up this morning and the whole night just flashed back at me. The party, the break up, all of it. And for a girl who's supposed to be dealing with a break up, I woke up not bothered by any of it.
"Morning princess," Michael said from the bathroom. "Tea," he said pointing to the hot cup of tea on the side. "Thanks blondie," I said rolling over to the side, "okay im going back to sleep."
"No no don't you dare," he said jumping on me and sliding the covers off my head. "I wanna sleep," I laughed as he took ahold of my hips and began tickling me. I screamed with laughter as he picked me up off the bed and giggled into my hair, tickling my neck. His laughter stormed through the room, and it's the most beautiful sound I've ever heard.
"Put me downn!" I demanded, laughing and kicking at his chest. "Hmm, nah" he chuckled throwing me over to his shoulder. "Not until you wake up," he laughs as his lips spiral down my neck in a ticklish movement.
"Okay.. okay I'm up," I screeched as he put me down on the floor gently. I jumped up on the bed and turned to the side taking a sip of the tea.
"Breakfast's in 5!" He shouted through the corridor as he went down. Breakfast?! He made breakfast. For me. YAY! I went into the bathroom, brushed my teeth, and changed into a black leather jacket with a converse and jeans, while drinking my tea. Somehow it tasted better than ever. I headed to the stairs and ran down, sliding into the kitchen like a pro. "Oohh pancakes!" I said as I jumped up on his back, and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you, thank you."
"This is," I say taking a huge bite of the pancake, "fantabulous."
"Best morning ever?" he asks smiling, "best morning ever," I smirk.
"I kinda went to your dad and told him you'll be back in a few days and not to worry," he said smirking. "And why would you do that?" I answered secretly happy.
"Because you need a break hailey," he says grabbing my hand, "you need a break from all this shit and drama, about you needing to decide between your dad and Alex."
I smiled and rubbed my fingers on his, "I know but-" he slid a finger on my mouth, "no buts, today's mailey day."
"Mailey day," I laughed choking at the pancake that was still in my mouth, "you okay?" He said rubbing a hand on my back, "yeah I'm fine," I smiled, "I like that name. Mailey."
"When did you go talk to my dad anyways?" I asked, "long story short," he mumbled, "you were drooling, I was playing with your hair, then I got bored and went out to-"
"Wait I was sleeping?!" I cried cutting him off, "what the f-"
"Now now gorgeous, careful with your words," he smirked. "It happened to me a couple of times, I wish I could sleep like that all the time," he said standing up to put the plates in the washer, "but sadly nature hates me, and decided not to let me sleep today."
"No wonder I felt all energetic this morning," I laugh.
"I'm gonna go ask dad," I say as I walked towards the kitchen door, "I'll be back soon."
He caught up with me and pushed me back inside the kitchen, "where do you think your going missy," he smirked as I tried pushing his hand off me. "I'm going to tell him about the sleep thing," I frowned.
Michael pushes me against the wall, and puts his hand on my chest, "does this hurt?" he raises an eyebrow, "nop" I replied. "Does this, hurt?" he smirked as he slid his hand under my shirt and pressed it against my waist. "It doesn't now does it gorgeous?" he smiled as his shimmering blue eyes stared intently into mine. "N-no," I stuttered, reaching in to pull his hand out but he only presses further. "Then your fine, nothing hurts," he smiled, "you just slept for the first time in your life no biggy," he smirked turning my chin towards him till I was facing him.
"Today's a break for you," he whispers into my ear, "what's a better way to take a break than go to dinner with your creepy best friend?"
I looked up at him confusingly, "dinner?" I smiled, "your taking me to dinner?"
"yep," he says finally moving off me. "Michael?" I asked looking down at the floor nervously. "Are you taking me on a date?"
He turned and looked me in the eye, "you can call it that," he smirks, "but if it bothers you then just think of it as-"
"No," I smiled , "no, I would love that."
A knocking on the door stirred me from my thoughts, "I'll get it," I said as I went to the door and opened it."Alex?" I hissed.
"Hailey.." he trailed off, "I-"
"Save it Alex," I snapped, "please just go."
"Look, Hailey.." he began as Michael stepped out the corridor, "who's tha-" he trailed off.
"Uh, hey alex," he stepped forward.
"What is he doing here?!" Alex yelled furiously. "Oh nothin much," michael smirked, "just chilling."
"What kind of chilling?" He snapped crossing his arms. "The kind of chilling where two best friends are in the same house," michael grinned, "ba bye now."
He tried closing the door but alex opened it with his foot.
"If you love him then just admit it already," Alex yelled, "if you love him," he repeated sternly, "then just fucking admit it."
He cornered me into the edge of the room and was pushing hard against me. "You're such a jerk," Michael shouted getting him off me but his eyes only glowed even more furiously into an evil red.
"Alex," I gasped, "y-your eyes." I said trying to slip past him but he only pushed harder against my skin.
"Leave her alone!" Michael yelled as a bright burning flame went up against my shoulder. "ALEX!" I screamed and pushed him against the wall. "What the hell is wrong with you," I cried as Michael came and hugged me tightly, "your bleeding, your whole shoulder's bleeding," Michael said picking me up as my eyes slowly began to close, "shit." He shut the door furiously behind him, leaving Alex lying on the ground.
I could feel the blood pool around me, soaking my clothes. I could see a light. Then I saw nothing.
