"So yea, that's why we broke up," Chloe smiled frantically, "end of story."

"Well that was one hell of a story," I laughed, "thank god you broke up with him, that dude's an asshole."

"Yea he is," Nora agreed, "cheating on you? The next time I look at him it's basically going to be like looking at a piece of garbage."

"So Hailey, you wanna tell us what's been going on with you?"

"Nothing's going on," I fake smiled, "just the same old me."

"Well, judging by the fact that we're both talking and you're in another world I think it's safe to say there's something going on," Chloe laughed and quickly changed into a much serious look.

"I'm just.. scared. It's my birthday, and I'm going to kill people, and there's a stalker who's hunting down my dad, and I just don't know what's going to happen to me, or to us."

"But I know," Chloe replied assuringly, "and we all know, that at the end of the day it's worth it."

"I just can't wait for the day I get to actually see your mother," Nora thought, "after years of us being best friends, I may get a chance to finally meet her."

"I really want to see her too," I smiled as my head drowned into vague memories, "all I've seen of her is a beautiful black dress, and a few minutes before she died. And that wasn't even in real life, I saw all that just a few days ago in a flashback or something."

"It's insane how you guys can get an entire scene of your past," Nora shrugged, "I wish I can have that."

"You can have that, anytime, any day," I smiled as she looked at me confused.

"How can I have that?" she asked.

"Girl, I can do anything. When you need something just tell me, I'll help," I answered, "take advantage of the fact that I can do anything you want, make me feel like I'm doing something for you guys."

"You're doing something for us by taking time to talk to us, even though you have so many things to do," Chloe smiled back enthusiastically, "if I were in your place I don't think I would ever be able to fit a girl's lunch in the middle of my day."

"So you said you're going out at night, let us in on the details girlfriend."

"Michael's taking me on a 'date' and he's not telling me where we're actually going so I guess we're in the same position right now," I chuckled and took the last sip of my coffee.

"I should probably get going now, I have a family dinner to attend," Nora said hastily and grabbed her bag.

"You?" I asked surprisingly, "family?"

"Dinner?" Chloe added as a hint of laughter began forming on our faces.

"Wut? I can do family.." she laughed, "not really, well anyways they're not technically my family. I'm going to Matt's and having dinner with his family."

"Now that sounds like our Nora," I laughed as we all got up from our chairs and headed out. "I'll see you guys on Sunday," Chloe smiled and gave me a hug.

"I'm home!" I called out as I shut the door behind me and walked into the living room.
