"Y-you kissed me," I stuttered as my voice began to crack.

"I kissed you because I thought that's the last time I was going to see you," he whispered slowly.

"I need to know that you forgive me. That despite all the horrible things I've done, there's a shred of hope buried deep down inside of you. So please forgive me," he said, "I need you to forgive me."

"I forgive you," I smiled gently and kissed him on the cheek, "and I just want you to know.. that I will always choose you. Just like you'd choose me."

"We have gathered you all, to attend the Royal Ceremony. In which Princess Hailey, will be tributing these four sacrifices to the Path of Illumination, gentleman."

I stood over her, my eyes dwelling with tears. I knew I'd never forgive myself, as she smiled gently to me, her body shivering in pain. I looked at her as tears tricked down my cheeks, and I couldn't stop it.

The blood sliced through her neck, as I heard a final sharp breath being inhaled, and she was Finished.

I picked myself up from the ground, crying, shouting, feeling every single emotion flood it's way through my body.

"It's okay," a voice whispered into my ears calmly, "you're gonna be okay, why? Because I love you and I'm here for you, I'm sorry that I made you do this.. you had the choice to not do this and not get me back,.. but you did it anyway."

"I owe my life to you," she gently whispered, "you're the best daughter in the world, and I'll make it up to you one day. I promise."

I looked around the room, hoping to see someone, hoping to find her, but she wasn't there. No one was there. As tears wept down my eyes, I fell back on the ground. All I felt was guilt, shattering guilt. The guilt that I knew would haunt me for the rest of my life.

I looked down on the ground, where they're bodies lay, blood dripping fiercely from their wounds, four innocent bodies lay shattered to pieces in front of my eyes. My eyes dwelling with tears, I looked down the staircase.

There lay a beautiful woman, looking ahead into the blazing sun that was in front of her, a woman wearing a flaring black dress, curly brown hair falling perfectly down her back.

"M-mom?" I stuttered in hope of a reply, "is that you? I'm dreaming right?"

"Right?" I whispered slowly going down the never ending stairs, "please an-"

"What?" A voice replied in shock looking up the stairs, "y-you can h-hear me?"

She turned around, revealing her beautiful hazel eyes, that almost resembled mine. Curly brown hair, a fierce black dress, that I could've sworn I've seen before.

"Oh my god," she gasped as tears trickled down my face, "is that really you?"

I nodded quickly and ran over to her arms. "I can't b-believe this," she cried as she flew her arms open to hug me, but something stopped me from getting closer to her.

"It's me," I smiled wiping my tears away, "hi mom."

"But.. how can you hear me?" she smiled gently, her eyes dwelling with tears, "no one's ever been able to hear me in years!"

"I don't know, but.. it's really you," I breathed out, "why can't I feel you?"

"Hailey," she reminded me, "I'm dead.. you.. know that right?"
