I woke up to the tingly feeling of two people's hands rushing against mine. "Hailey," a voice whispered into my ear as I slowly opened my eyes.
"Michael?" I smiled as he came forward and hugged me. "Where are we?"
"In the hospital," michael smiled holding my hand. "Can I leave now? This feels like shit," I said sitting up.
"N-no," alex said gently pushing me back down, "you stay right where you are, your neck and your shoulder are burnt."
"Huh, I wonder who did that." Michael rolled his eyes at Alex, as I heard two people storm into the room.
"OMG," Chloe shouted throwing her hand on her mouth. "You. look. Awful."
"Thanks?" I laughed, "Who did this?!" Nora clenched her fists, "tell me so I can go break that assho-"
"I'm fine guys!" I smiled and took their hands tightly, "leave him alone he's dealt with enough shit already."
"It's a him?!" Nora looked at Michael, then at Alex, and kept going back and forth. "Let me guess," Nora snapped, "Alex Donovan."
"It's been a while," chloe smirked, "you were such a different person back in school, how are you," chloe pointed up and down, "like this now?"
Alex rolled his eyes, and went out the room.
"We'll see you after tomorrow in school?" they say leaning down to hug me. "yep I'll be there," i smiled, "thanks for coming guys."
"You need to teach her to stop saying thank you," nora mumbled to michael as they left the room.
"How's your shoulder?" Michael asked closing the door behind them.
"I can barely even feel it," I say looking down at my arm surprisingly, "how is that even possible? Alex literally burned me with his weird fire eyes," I huffed, "whatever they are."
"Cmon!" he replied bluntly, "your Queen Julia's daughter! Fire won't hurt you."
"So how about that date tonight?" Michael smirked, sitting down on the side of the bed.
"I would love that," I smiled as I crouched up beside him, "your staying home with me after we go back right?"
"Right," he says putting his arms around me. "careful with ur hands blondie," I said moving his hands from my shoulder. "Sorry," he chuckled giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"Mrs. Evans," the doctor stepped into the room, "you lost a lot of blood, but you'll be okay," he added, "and as long as your awake can I have a blood sample?" he asked as he went out the room after he tied my wrist with something.
"Michael?" I said attempting to remove the thingy off my hand, "what the hell is he doing?!"
"Oh no no," he sat up quickly peeking through the door. "I'm sorry doctor," he looked down at his badge, "johnson, but you can't do that." Michael snatched the needle from his hand.
"Excuse me sir, i need to make sure that she's safe. What's on her neck isn't normal," the doctor took the needle back and went in, "no but I swear she's fine," michael argued, "really look at her arm!" The doctor eyed my arm carefully, and turned back to look at Michael. "It did heal quickly, but it's just to make sure she's okay."
Michael glanced back and me and took my hand, "it's gonna be okay," he said stroking my hair. "Are you gonna let him do this?!"
"Im right here, there's nothing to be scared of," he kissed my forehead and laid me back down on the bed, "me and Alex will get the blood sample back from the lab upstairs, because leaving your blood with him is a risk," he promised, "the moment he's gone we'll go get it," he whispered.
