All I could hear right now was Michael and Alex arguing. First it was about getting the girl, and now it's about the tragic story of my mother's death. This is boring.

"Alex, don't listen to a word he says. It wasn't your fault. She wanted to do this," I looked him in the eyes and place a hand on his face, "she wanted to sacrifice herself."

"Shut your pretty little mouth for a second would you?" I turned around to face him, and he was right there. Yep, right. There. "If you're trying to get the girl it's not working," I whispered into his ear and sighed pushing him away. "It's not his fault, you weren't there when it happened anyways so you didn't actually hear what she said."

The blonde haired boy looked up at me, eyes a blazing cool blue, and he rolled his eyes at Alex.

"If you say so, your highness." he said mockingly and then left the room.

"He's a good guy hailey," Alex says taking my hand, "go talk to him." Alex said reassuringly.

I went out to the balcony and found him there, looking at the sunset. "What's up with you and Alex?" I asked

"He's always gonna get the girl isn't he?" he frowned, not bothering to look at me. "Is that girl me?" I sighed, "by any chance?"

"Is it?" he turned around and looked me straight in the eye, "oh wait, last time I checked you guys were dating." he rolled his eyes turning back to avoid looking at me. "Why does it matter?" The blonde haired boy glanced over at me, and took one step closer whispering in my ear so close to me, "let's see who wins the girl later," I blushed in embarrassment, and saw a movement in front of us. It was Alex. Oh god. His jaw flexes, and his body stiffens almost launching a move until I stepped in between them, "Don't you dare," I scowled at Alex.

"There's just one thing I don't understand," he frowned raising an eyebrow, "why the fuck are you defending him?!"

"He knew my mom better than anyone, and he's helping me in getting her back." Michael's jaw dropped down, "she needs me Alex, no offense but I bet she prefers me more," michael smirked.

"Don't go that far blondie," I replied with a teasing smile. "Alex, I just think it's a good idea to be around him in a time like this, he can help." I grabbed alex's arm, "this is not gonna change anything." Michael rolled his eyes and stepped in ruining the moment.

"I get it. You have an unbreakable bond, yeah yeah. Let's go now," he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him. "I swear to god," Alex snapped, "if you hurt her-"

"Me? Hurt her," he laughs, "hah, in your wildest dreams." His wings grew up above his shoulders, a blazing golden color, fluttering over him. He flew me up and stopped at a huge mansion. "What's that?" I asked looking up at how freaky this house looks.

"We're going witch hunting," he smirks and turns the door knob, swinging the door open. "Ladies first," he said taking my hand and squeezing it tightly. "Witch hunting?" I looked at him and asked again, "since when are there witches in town?"

We enter the house and walk along the corridor, "Oh hun, they've been here all along," he smirks and slides the living room door open with his foot like a badass. "Vanessa, I'm back babe." He called out. She turned around, with a huge smile on her face. She had curly hair, not like mine like the Afros. And fyi, I hate those.

"Babe?" I crossed my arms, staring at him and her hugging. She kissed him. And then it hit me.

"Are you guys dating?" I mumbled turning to michael and looking him in the eye. "We just kissed. Isn't it obvious?" He smirked and kissed her again, this time full on. With tongue and all that. It was horrifying.

"I'm just gonna-" I said walking backwards, "go now.." I shut the door behind me and stood there. I needed some time to process what I just saw.

"He was kissing her," I groaned to myself, "and I thought I-"

"You thought what?" A voice called from behind me and made me jump.

"N-nothing," I stuttered. He walked over to me, leaving a few steps between us. "Let's just go now," I huffed, "witch hunting or whatever it is."

"This is a house that was built in 1985, your mother lived here once. Their wasn't anything called angel of darkness or any of that shit. We were all angels back then," he continued, "until she put that tomb spell and ruined our lives by breaking our kingdom into two parts."

"All you do is put the blame on other people. First it's Alex and now," I snapped, "it's my mom."

"I am putting the blame on her, because I love her. She's my best friend and she's always been the person I trust the most," he took a deep breath and continued," I lost a part of me when she left, trust me caring about other people's feelings won't get you anywhere," he groaned, "I learned that the hard way."

"So wait, there weren't two parts like there is now?" I replied, "and if we break the spell there won't be a barrier between the two kingdoms?!" I cried frantically. "Nop, and then it's a happily ever after to everyone." He says grinning like a mad man.

"But how are we going to break that spell?" I asked. He leaned heavily against the doorframe. He was wearing a black leather jacket, which smells like a strangely sweet combination of cigarettes and cinnamon. "Haven't you read fairytales and stuff?" he whined, "you need a witch."

"And where the hell are we supposed to get a witch huh?" I sighed. "I may or may not have a crazy witch girlfriend right there." He pointed to the girl standing in front of the door, who just happened to enter as we began talking. What a coincidence.

I rolled my eyes as Vanessa came in the room, and slammed the door shut, placing her hands on her hips. "Let's go shall we?"

"Go where?" I asked.

"A little trip to mommy's house," michael smirks.

We stopped at a small cozy house. Honestly, I thought it was gonna be as freaky as the last house but I'm cool with this.

"That's your mom's house?" I asked giving myself a moment to look at how adorable he looks with the wind blowing on is hair. "I think she's home, let's go vanessa," he winked at me with a seductive smile, and took her hand. If he's trying to make me jealous it ain't workin on me. Kind of.

So we went inside the fairy like house, and headed directly to the bookshelves hung on the walls , there were probably like a million books there, all stacked and ordered alphabetically. We searched for over an hour or so until Michael finally shouted, "Guys here I think I found something!", I went to his side and looked at the enormous book in his hands. "Vanessa come here, none of us speak witch language," he whined pulling her beside him.

"Hailey what did your dad tell you about breaking the tomb spell?" Vanessa asked, turning her glance over at me.

"Kill four people, which completes the sacrifice and get the powers of my mother." I explained, "and then we're all done."

"Not exactly," Vanessa said through gritted teeth. "This is a spell book right?" she asked Michael. "Yep, get to the point," he whined.

"There's just one more thing left," she continued, "to complete the ritual, you need to sacrifice a member of your mother's bloodline."

"Sacrifice what now?!"
