I laid down on the soft, warm grass, staring at the sky in front of me. It was still early in the morning, and I knew I had the entire day to get to Rome.

My brother just died, my mom keeps telling me not to worry about him, Vanessa's being the witch bitch she is, and Michael just makes my heart beat out of its chest.

And Alex..

Alex's dead.

His body was on the floor, laying still. A shiver ran down my spine, just as the thought re-entered my head for the millionth time.

I stretched my arms and sat up. I new there was nothing I could do other than have hope. Have hope that I would get my mother back, not only because I wanted everyone to be happy, including myself. But because I know that would make Alex happy too.

And that's everything I want in life. I would give it all up just to see a smile on his face. But, I can see him. He's a ghost now, and I'm a guardian angel. I can see him, but I can't feel him or go anywhere near him.

I should take advantage of that. My head was roaming with thoughts, wandering into lands and lands of memories, happiness, strength. Until I heard a voice behind me. A voice that I dreaded, yet a voice that I didn't quite know how to respond to.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt a pair of eyes on me. I glared harshly at her and she did nothing but smile kindly in return.

Of course, she's Amber The Queen. She can pretend to care when she wants to.

"Why alone love?" She asked, drawing a fake smile to her lips. "I mean, you have some fantastic boyfriends that are head over heels in love with you. Why not use that to your advantage? If I were you, I would let them have fun with me, so fun that I'll be screaming and shou-"

"Ew, Amber stop."

I rolled my eyes at her, keeping my gaze steady. I knew she was joking, but I still didn't care. She is the enemy. And as they say.. once a player always a player.

She giggled to herself, quickly pulling back the laugh. "So, really now cupcake. Why so early? And where's Alex? Or Michael. whoever you're with now."

"I'm not with either of them." I replied confidently. "A-Alex, he uh.. died. And considering what happened with Michael. I've always known he was hiding something, but I never expected this. That's why he acted so weird the first time you came. He practically denied everything.."

I stared into the valley, which was covered in beautiful trees and shrubs, red roses and tulips, as my mind wandered into the past, recalling every detail of that day when they 'first' met.

"You are never leaving my side, ever again." Michael laughed and hugged me tightly before looking at the door. "Uh.. who's that?"

"Michael, meet Amber," I smiled and stepped aside. "Amber, this is my boyfriend, Michael."

"Wait," he laughed slightly and looked back at her, "Amber? The Amber?"

"Yep, that's the one," she smiled gently and shook his hand, "nice to meet you."

"Oh honey," he laughed, "meet you? I practically lived with you and your brother a long time-"
