I felt a soft, warm touch gently tap against my skin, moving off the covers of the bed."Your highness, breakfast is served."
I looked up to see a familiar woman standing on the side of the bed, with a huge smile on her face.
"Thank you Carmen," I smiled, pulling back my hair, "I'll be there in a few minutes."
I walked over to the bathroom and took a quick, hot shower. I put on a pearly white eyeshadow, a hint of blush, and a nude lipstick. I slid on a beautiful blue dress, laced with turquoise straps and diamond shaped jewels aligned along the sides.
I walked upstairs, to the dining room. I almost forgot how amazing this place is.
"Allow me princess," a handsome, muscular guy came forward to pull back my chair.
Until I realized it was Alex.
"Thank you," I smiled as he laid a soft kiss on my cheek and sat down on the chair beside me, "what are you doing here? May I ask."
"Good morning to you too," he laughed, turning to look at me with those emerald eyes. "I guess I just wanted an excuse to come here didn't I? I came for a visit, to give you're dad a little boost on what was happening."
"Whatever brought you here, I'm glad you came."
He stared at me for a few seconds, a smile running across his face.
"Idiot," I laughed to myself as he entwined my hand in his and gently kissed it. "You're not making it any better," I nervously smiled and looked around the buffet that was in the middle of the room.
"Let's go get something to eat shall we?" he smiled.
After breakfast, we went for a walk outside the palace gardens. Streams of water and gorgeous waterfalls, flowers of all kinds and colors. And a hammock that was hanging in between two long, dark spruce trees.
"How are you feeling?" I asked nervously as we sat down on the hammock that lay in the back.
"I'm.. good I guess? I don't know, it just feels wrong that-"
"It's not wrong, it was my choice to give you my blood wasn't it? And plus, I was only helping you."
"I know you were," he sighed, "and that's exactly why it feels wrong. Because you were helping me."
"You're not the only one who's going to make sacrifices in this world, and you need to accept that. And I'm not like any other person out there. I'm going to love you, and I'm going to take care of you till the day I die. And not because you're the first boyfriend I ever had but because you're my brother, even though we're not purely brother and sister, which I'm thankful for honestly, but it's still my job to take care of you. Whether you're my boyfriend, or my best friend, or my brother, or if you're simply just a friend. I will still be there for you, and I'll do whatever I can do to keep you from getting hurt."
He was staring into my eyes. His beautiful ocean green eyes shining in the sunlight, he was looking at me in a way he never looked at me before.
"What is it? Do I have something on my face?" I chuckled jokingly.
"No," he laughed, "you're face is perfect."
