2 weeks later…

She still hasn’t awoken; there has been a slight improvement but not much! I don’t think I can do this for much longer. It is getting harder and harder to watch her lying there on the uncomfortable hospital bed helplessly.

Dr Adams walked into the room. Done the usual; checked the monitor pumped her with different chemicals which I am not even going to try pronouncing.

“How are you today, Alpha?” She asked sweetly.

“Fine, I suppose. How’s Al?” I asked but I know what she was going to say what she said to me every day. That there was no change… blah…blah.

“No change… Getting stronger each day. But you however, are making yourself ill.” She said with a concerned face.

“I’m fine, really?” I stated but it was more of a question. Truth was I wasn’t fine at all. I hadn’t left this room in two weeks. I can’t leave her here; she may get hurt again or even die.

“You’re not, please Alpha. You have to think about the pack and of course, Ally. She needs you to be strong and you know that. Just go and have a sleep and shower. I will leave my link open to you. And I will sit in here with her if you want. She will be fine. I promise.” She promised sincerely. I know I can trust her but I just can’t leave.

“I can’t. She needs me here more than anything else.”

“No. She needs you rested and strong. That way she will also get stronger. Believe me. I studied this.” She said.

“Alright. But you have to promise to link me if anything happens even the slightest little change.” I said.

“I promise.”

I reluctantly left my mate lying there. With I heavy sigh I left the hospital wing and headed to my room. I am so tired. But, I just can’t sleep knowing that Ally is ill and there is nothing I can do about it. School has started but I haven’t gone back. Her parents only flew back a few days ago. Later than they were actually meant to.

I can’t believe them! Their daughter lying fatally ill in hospital and they can’t even be bothered to get an earlier flight? They would rather get a later one. They haven’t even been to see her yet. They’ve sent flowers and stuff but that’s it. It is because they know it is their entire fault! They shouldn’t have left her alone in that house and go gallivanting across the world! None of this would have happened and they are afraid to face the facts!

I really need to calm myself down and get some sleep. Just as I was calm and everything was peaceful there was a knock at my door.

“Yes?”

Mom came into the room holding a tray.

“What’s that?” I asked.

“It’s warm milk and honey. It used to help me sleep. You know when your father went to fight or whatever. It is very soothing thought you my like some to try. I will wake you up for lunch okay?” She said and then just left the room not even giving me time to answer. Oh mother.

I drank the milk and honey it was very good and I was getting sleep fast. After five minutes I fell asleep. Although my bed was cold and lonely. I know what I had to do. As soon as she wakes up she is moving in here with me. She will be safe here.

-------------------------3 hours later--------------------------

“Bro! Wake up you have to go and get food. Mom made your favourite come on.” Yum! Spag Bol!

“Okay. I will be down in fifteen minutes. I need a shower.” I said.

“Yes, yes you do!” Mel said laughing like a maniac.
