In Denial

Chapter Ten

The words haven't even registered yet. Even though we are suiting in the hospital I keep forgetting why I am here at all.

But then it all hits me.BOOM!

We are here because Jase has been in a full on rogue attack! It is like really serious! What if something bad happens to him? How will I live with losing my mate?

Ha! Listen to me a few years ago I didn't even know this mythical world existed and now it is my everything! It is like the only thing I know.

Just then the doctor came through the door and looked at us gravely.

"Are you all Jason's family?" he asked.

"No, but we are his parents." Alpha Colin stood up.

"And does he have a mate, it doesn't say anything in the records."

Wow! That hurt.

"Yes, Ally over there." Maria pointed to me.

"Well, he is only allowed two visitors at a time, so Alpha and Ally will you please come with me?" the doctor said motioning for us to follow him.

"What are the chances doctor?"Colin asked.

"Well, we are not sure because his wolf isn't responding to the treatment aswell as we would like, so I think that having Ally there will be an advantage." the doctor explained.

"And why is he not responding to the treatment?" I asked.

"Well, it could be a lot of things, but by the way they are responding u am guessing that his wolf is upset." he said.

"Oh no! It is all my fault!" I started to cry again.

"Ally, what are you talking about?" Colin asked.

"I am the reason he is upset."

"Ally, your the only one that can make him better, so stat calm for his sake." Colin said softly.

We walked into the room and I just wanted to be sick!

He was all wired up with tubes sticking out here, there, and yonder. The smell of chemicals in the air was getting me slightly light-headed. I really hate hospitals!

"Go sit with him, it will help." the doctor said.

I went over and sat in the chair beside him.

"What do I do now?"

"Try holding his hand and talk to him." the doctor suggested.

"Ally, will you be OK here, I have to go and attend to pack duties."

"Alone?"

"Well, Maria has to come with me to comfort the she wolves in the pack as we are declaring war." he said like it happened everyday.

"Be careful." I warned.

He gave a warm chuckle to this and left the room as did the doctor.

"Just me and you now." I sighed and looked up at the monitor.

"Jace, I hope you can hear me I'm so sorry for not being the ideal mate for you." I cried and got into bed beside him.

There was a little rise in the heartbeat but it soon went back to normal.

I just couldn't fight the sleep anymore. I let it take over me. I do t know what it was but my energy seemed to be draining and fast!

I woke up to the silly, blinding hospital lights.

I looked over to see that I now had a bed beside Jason.

Jason.

He was healing, but not that much.

Maria was beside him weeping.

"Ma...Maria?" she looked up. Her sad eyes locked with mine and she smiled.

"Here, petal have a drink." she said passing me a glass of water.

I quickly gulped that down and she gave me another.

"How have I been asleep?"

"Two days."

"Why?"

"Because, Jason's wolf is now sleeping and yours did the same but because you aren't injured your wolf has seemed to wake up which is because... Bec..." she said but we were interrupted by the doctors and nurses coming in.

"Good, to see that you are awake." one of the nurses smiled.

They checked up on us and left leaving us alone again.

"Maria, what were you saying?"

"Oh, forget I even opened my mouth."

"Please, Maria." I pleaded.

"It is because you are of Alpha bloodline..."
