In Denial

Chapter 38

Well, looks like today is the day for Mel and Danny. After I had found out what Danny was planning I became a part of the plan as well. He wants me to sing all of their favourite songs. Apparently it will mean a lot to her, but I hate singing in front of people, there is only going to be me, Jason, Danny and Mel but I am still nervous.

He was proposing to her at the lake a few miles away from the pack house, it was such a nice place. It was tranquil and its beauty always takes your breath away. Even though it is still the winter months, it is getting warmer. We went to decorate it, in the end it looked absolutely beautiful. We put fairy lights around the trees and they lit up a warm blue colour. We also spelt out ‘Marry Me’ in the fairy lights in the tree behind the picnic blanket. It was honestly the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life.

I hope that Jason does something special like this when he proposes to me.

“Ally, what are you going to sing when I am proposing to her?” Danny asked looking really nervous.

“Marry me by Jason Derulo. And calm down because she loves you and she is going to say yes.” I said smiling at him.

“I hope so, I really do.” He said scratching the back of his head.

“Hey, what are you two talking about?” Jason said chiming into our conversation.

“Nothing it is just that Danny is really nervous.” I said going over and hugging Jason. He smelled so good today. I know that is a weird thing to say, but it is very, very true.

“Oh right, don’t worry bro, everything is all set and perfect.” Jason said looking around the area that we have carefully decorated.

“Just stay calm, you don’t want her to suspect anything.” I said smiling as we walked back to our cars.

“All I have to do now is get Colin and Maria’s blessing.” He said getting into the car. The car ride back to the pack house was silent. Everyone seemed to be in their own bubble thinking about what this afternoon holds. We reached the pack house and went to Colin’s office. They were still at the other pack attending to business. So we decided to Skype them instead, the reason why we phoned them in here is because the office was sound proof and nobody could hear what we had planned.

They answered the call and they immediately looked worried.

“Has something happened?” Colin asked.

“Do we need to come back?” Maria asked with a lot of concern lacing her voice.

“No mom, dad; Danny has to ask you something.” Jason said looking over at Danny.

“Okay.” They both said at the same time.

“Well, umm… today …I was, erm… planning to propose to your daughter and I was looking to know if I had your blessing?” He asked gaining more confidence at the end.

Maria instantly squealed and smiled. Colin was smiling too.

“Of course you have our blessing!” Maria squealed.

“It was a very respectful thing for you to do when you asked us, welcome to the family.” Colin said.

“Anyway we have to go, let us know how you get on.” Maria smiled ending the call.

“Looks like everything is set.” I said hugging Danny, which of course resulted in a growl from Jason.

I gave him a dirty look. “Jay, can you not? I am only hugging my best friend.” I said.

“You have history, I won’t forget that.” He said walking out of the room.

All we ever seem to do these days is fight especially since I woke up, you would think that, we should be grateful, but no we just seem to take each other for granted. I t has all happened since I moved in here. I think I am going to move out again just until we stop fighting.
