In Denial

Chapter Eight

Melody's POV

"Danny, I don't know how I am going to live without you." I said with tears streaming down my face.

"Oh don't cry, I'll be back in six weeks." he smiled.

I am going to miss that smile.

The taxi pulled up at that minute and I couldn't stop the tears from flowing.

"I will call you as soon as I get home." he said cupping my cheek.

"OK." I said snuggling into his chest.

"Mel?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you." he whispered.

I looked up into his beautiful eyes that I can't help bit get lost in. Yes, he definitely meant it!

"I... I love you too." I smiled.

We locked lips which moved in sync with each other. He is so important to me.

He got in the taxi. And he was gone.

Ally's POV

I was updating my status on facebook when my phone started to ring.

"Hello."

"Hello, Ally." Maria said.

"Hello, Maria."

"Ally, can I ask you a favour?"

"Sure, anything at all."

"Could you please come over here and cheer Mel up. She has not even came out of her room since Danny left and I am really worried about her."

"Sure, I will be there at seven."

"Thanks dear I appreciate it."

"No worries, see you soon bye." I said hanging up the phone.

I got a few things packed and headed over to the pack house.

"Hello, Ally thank you so much for coming." Maria said hugging me.

"It's alright, it must be pretty hard for her."

"It must be. Well I am going to rent out some movies. Any suggestions?" she asked.

"As long as they are not romances." I said.

"I'll go for the comedies, then." he smiled as she headed out the door.

I headed up the stairs. And of course I had to go and bump into Jason. Things have been a bit awkward since I said I just wanted to be friends.

"Hey Al!" he said happily.

"Hi Jay." I smiled back.

"How are you doing?"

"Fine, just going to see your sister."I stated.

"Good luck with that." he said as he walked straight past me.

See what I mean? Awkward!

I knocked gently on Mel's door.

"Mom, Go away!" she shouted.

"It's not your mom, it's Ally and I don't care what you say or do, I am coming in!" And just like that she opened the door and dragged me in.

"What are you doing here?!" she snapped.

"I am here to cheer you up." I said.

"I don't want anyone here." he said breaking down in tears.
