In Denial

Chapter 37

“Hey babe.” Jason said as soon as I came in through the door. It was time for the plan to take some action. So I ignored him.

It was such a hard thing to do because he looked so clueless. He was really cute when he was clueless. ALLY, no this is not a good time to be thinking like that. I know you love him and all but stop.

“What have I done now? Are you still angry at me for earlier?” He asked. It took a lot for me not to talk to him and let him know why I am angry at him. Well, I am not really angry at him. Just ignoring him.

I walked straight past him and up the stairs to our bedroom. He followed of course, still having no idea why I am treating him like this.

“Please don’t be angry at me,” He pleaded,” I am sorry for shouting at you earlier, you know that I am just protective over you.” He said trying to hug me, I quickly dodged it and started to put all my clothes away in the wardrobe.

“Oh come on!” He said in a frustrated tone and throwing his arms up in the air. After that he just stormed out of the room.

I kind of giggled to myself but then I felt really bad! He still had no idea. I won’t have to cope with it much longer anyway. You can see that he is already vulnerable. It is really funny because the big, bad Alpha is all vulnerable and I am the only one that can make him feel like that. It makes me feel really powerful for some reason. I don’t know why!

Mel came into the room with Alice. “Have you found out anything yet?” She asked.

“Nope, not a single thing. But what is it that we are trying to find out anyway?” I asked a little confused.

“We have to find out why they are acting strangely towards us. I think they are keeping something from us and I want to know what it is!” She said. I can’t help but think that my best friend has went a little crazy here. She even has a crazed look in her eyes. I don’t really mind Jason keeping things from me as long as it is not serious. But she obviously can’t handle it.

“Mel, calm down. Okay? We will find it out eventually maybe they aren’t keeping anything from us at all. Maybe, we are only imagining that they are acting strange.” I said shrugging my shoulders.

“I can’t! What if Danny is cheating on me? What if he doesn’t find me attractive anymore? We haven’t really had much us time since Alice was born, if you know what I mean.” She said almost in tears.

“Mel, he loves you and he would never cheat on you, you know that! And even if he did cheat on you, you would feel it.” I said.

“I suppose you are right, but I still think something is going on.” She said.

“We will find it out though.” I promised.

“I hope you’re right because it is driving me crazy.” She said.

“Anyway, we better go and get all sexified for later on when we get to find out what it is that they have been keeping from us. I hope it is something good.
