In Denial

Chapter 39

I have been living back with my parents for a few weeks now and I have to say since they told me about the baby everything is going great! They have shown me the scan pictures and we have started to get the nursery ready.

I only see Jason at school now. We hardly even speak there, I think we are just a bit lost for words, I don’t even know what he is thinking. Like has he even forgiven himself yet?

I talk to Mel a lot, she is always over here. She brings Alice with her. She is getting christened in a few days. Jason and I are her godparents, and there is loads of stuff we have to go over, so we will have to talk sooner or later.

So that is why I am back at the pack house for two weeks. I have been living with my parents for a month but there was a pack meeting and I had to go to that because I am the Luna of the pack. Because of mine and Jason’s situation Colin and Maria are now going to extend the pack house and combine our two packs. So we are just going to go on as normal and become Alpha and Luna when we are eighteen.

I feel sorry that I let the pack down and couldn’t take over like they wanted us to, but at the end of the day we just couldn’t handle all the pressure and it was putting a great strain on our relationship and we just couldn’t carry on like that.

I rang the doorbell and waited for someone to answer. The pack house was huge so it could take some time for someone to answer. I was tapping my foot getting impatient when Jason answered the door.

“Hey Ally.” He said smiling. I looked up and saw that he was shirtless and he was just in his trunks that were dripping all over the place. The droplets of water that were making their way down his defined chest was a sight to behold, I was a bit lost for words.

Jason started laughing. “Have you got a staring problem, babe?”

“Pfft…no! I was just in a bit of a day dream, I do that a lot these days. Don’t flatter yourself!” I said smirking at him.

“So you want to come in then?” Jason asked cocking an eyebrow.

“Well that was the idea.” I said sarcastically, stepping into the house.  “Where is everyone?” Usually the pack house is full of people.

“Everyone is down at the other pack meeting the new members and to start training them. I stayed here just in case and to keep an eye on you and make sure that you are safe.” He said winking. This is the longest we have talked in ages but it is going pretty well.

“You have been watching me? You are so strange.” I said giggling.

“Yeah, even though we are just friends but not friends doesn’t mean that I don’t care about you in the same way. You are my mate, Al, nothing is going to change that.” He said smiling at me. I suppose that is cute.

“Thanks Jay.” I said smiling back at him.

“Okay, so what was it that you wanted?” He asked looking around. It was quite awkward and I don’t even understand why.

“Oh yeah, well it is Alice’s christening in two days and I just want to see what we are getting her and stuff. You know as a present.” I said shrugging.

“Okay well, I was thinking that we could go shopping later, if you wanted and we can pick out some stuff to get her.” He suggested.

“Yeah, that sounds good. What time will I meet you here at?” I asked.

“I will pick you up at your house at two.” He said. That means I have two hours to get ready. That should be plenty of time. I don’t even have to try with Jason, he has already seen me without make up and shizz. I took the day off school so that I could get this present. It is Friday and she is getting christened on Sunday. They have planned a lot for this, both the packs and most of Danny’s pack is coming to see their new heir.
